Leaving the attending physician's office, Brandan's expression was somewhat bleak.
His leukemia had only been cured a little over three months ago, and he was still in the recovery phase, unable to undergo a white blood cell donation surgery.
He sat quietly alone on a bench by the corridor, looking slightly fatigued.
Lady Hyde stood not far away, observing Brandan's expression. She gently covered her face and began to sob quietly.
A lifetime's worth of tears seemed to have dried up recently.
She felt deeply for Iris Harris, but also for Brandan; he was her child, and she had never seen such an expression on his face.
Lady Hyde walked over and gently sat beside Brandan, pulling his face into her bosom.
"Brandan..."
She closed her eyes, allowing the tears to slide from the corners.
They had all made mistakes, sins unforgivable.
She just didn't understand why Heaven must take revenge on Iris Harris.
She knew nothing...
How innocent she was!
