"You're awake." Mr. Lu walked out of the kitchen with breakfast.
At the moment Han Xi saw Mr. Lu, her heart... settled.
"Hurry and wash up. You didn't eat dinner last night. I'm afraid your stomach will hurt, so I made breakfast in advance."
Han Xi nodded, and when she glanced at the living room, she still felt lingering fear.
Mr. Lu could see she was still scared. He put down the breakfast and went over to Han Xi, taking her hand: "I'll accompany you to wash up."
Han Xi tightened her grip on Mr. Lu's hand, looking up at him: "Thank you for always being with me."
"Silly, I'm your boyfriend."
Back in the room, Han Xi took an outfit to the bathroom to change, and after freshening up, she went with Mr. Lu to the dining room.
Sitting at the table, Han Xi took a few bites of food, but the graphic images of dismemberment became increasingly vivid in her mind, causing her to rush into the kitchen... and vomit.
Mr. Lu followed her, gently patting her back: "Are you okay?"
