Han Yi came back at noon, and Lin Wan still hadn't woken up from her nap.
"Hot buns, freshly made. And some fried chicken. Your favorite mixed vegetable soup," Han Yi felt satisfied seeing Lin Wan still asleep since he left.
"The fried chicken smells so good! Where did you buy it?" Lin Wan was really hungry by now.
"A new shop that just opened by the roadside. They sell them whole, not cheap though," Han Yi replied. These past years, more private businesses started popping up, with many people finding ways to make money.
Han Yi didn't let her get up. He sat beside her in bed, feeding her by hand.
"How's Grandma doing today?"
"Not too well. A nurse accidentally let slip that her leg isn't easy to treat, so Grandma threw a fit, saying she wanted to go home and wouldn't let anyone care for her."
Lin Wan paused, her brows furrowing with concern, "Ah, was she calmed down?"
