Lorraine Hughes glanced over at her, and the curve of her lips rose higher.
Her gaze met Summer Sutton's briefly, then passed over her to look at Adrian Walyon beside her.
Adrian Walyon hadn't glanced at her since she appeared, continuously gathering food.
He piled his own plate full, then added some more to Summer Sutton's plate.
With both plates full, he found a corner and sat down.
"Come here!" After sitting, he beckoned to Summer Sutton with his finger.
Summer snapped out of her daze, walked over to him, and as soon as she got close, Adrian Walyon, unconcerned about the crowd present, pulled her onto his lap and began feeding her bites of meat.
"This is delicious, eat more. The food here is pretty good."
Summer took the meat into her mouth, slowly chewing, while her gaze remained fixed on Lorraine Hughes's direction.
She was merely curious why Diana Wood invited Lorraine Hughes to such an occasion tonight.
