Jian Liangtong stood in the middle of the living room, her hands lightly clenched at her sides, her face somewhat stiff from tension, worriedly looking at He Xinyun who was sitting on the sofa, cradling her face in her hands.
Her shoulder was gently patted by Jian Ningfeng.
Jian Liangtong mechanically turned her head to look at Jian Ningfeng, her almond eyes full of confusion and helplessness.
"Sit down first, we'll talk when you're seated." Jian Ningfeng said softly.
Jian Liangtong pressed her lips together and nodded.
Jian Ningfeng sat on the single sofa beside the long hair, leaving the spot next to He Xinyun for Jian Liangtong.
Jian Liangtong worriedly frowned and slowly walked to sit beside He Xinyun, her eyes unsure of where to look.
She really, truly had never seen He Xinyun like this before.
So she didn't know what to say.
Her heart was aching, painfully contracting.
"Alright dear, isn't our daughter coming back?" Jian Ningfeng looked at He Xinyun, speaking gently.
