Gu Tiantian remembered Song Xiaozhi mentioning earlier that Xu Jingjing's family conditions weren't good. Her mother passed away early, her father was paralyzed, and she had a younger brother in high school; everything needed money.
Gu Tiantian initially wanted to ask Xu Jingjing what was going on, but seeing Song Xiaozhi almost asleep, she had to send her home immediately.
Xu Jingjing clearly noticed this too and quickly started packing Song Xiaozhi's things.
