Daisy Ginger felt a bit defiant, but the man's dark expression still made her hold her tongue.
More importantly, she didn't understand why her stomach was feeling uncomfortable now.
The man brought her home and slammed the door shut with a "bang."
He asked, "What else did you eat?"
Daisy instinctively shook her head.
"How much of that drink did you have?"
"Just a few sips."
She had been chatting with Zoe Hilker the whole time and didn't really drink much.
The man relaxed his grip on her wrist, his face softening slightly from its previous grim look. As he saw her anxious expression, he scoffed lightly and flicked her pert nose with his finger.
"Who's told you to run around? You're grown-up, yet still so troublesome."
Daisy felt a bit confused, but recalling how Edward Stephens had pulled her out, and the men in the bar gathering together and even chasing after them, she felt a bit scared again.
