Daisy Ginger glanced at his profile a few times, then slowly retracted her gaze without saying a word, and just followed Edward Stephens into the dining room.
The dining room had a round wooden table set with meals for two, all Western-style, with bread, cream soup, and some beef that Edward Stephens had bought from the supermarket.
She was indeed hungry, and the smell of the roasted beef made her stomach growl.
Irene seemed to hear the growling of her stomach, glanced at her, and very warmly pushed her to the table, handing her the utensils.
Edward Stephens sat down beside her, "The roast beef she made is very good, you should try it."
Daisy Ginger looked up to see Irene standing cheerfully aside watching her. She pressed her lips together and looked away, lowering her head to take a bite of the beef.
"It's delicious, thank you."
She said to her in English.
Irene's smile grew even wider as she eagerly served her creamy mushroom soup and cut her some bread.
