Daisy Ginger parked the car at the intersection, her heart pounding with fear. Only after a long while did she cautiously drive back to the apartment.
Seeing Edward Stephens practically scared her half to death, and by the time she got home, she felt completely drained.
She no longer wanted to care about Helen Hyde, just wanted to pack her things and leave.
Still in shock, suddenly there were loud knocks on the door, scaring Daisy nearly upright. She didn't dare open the door immediately and called out nervously, "…Who is it?"
Have they come for her already?
"Daisy, it's me," Elena Raven's soft and sweet voice came from outside the door. "Are you okay? I heard about Sister Hyde's matter..."
Perhaps worried about her, Elena had come over to check on her.
Daisy breathed a sigh of relief, got off the bed, checked through the peephole several times, and only when she made sure Elena was alone did she quickly open the door and pull her in.
