She couldn't help but grumble inwardly, coaxing Edward Stephens to let her go, then heading out to find someone to get him some sobering medicine.
After feeding him the medicine, the man's mind seemed to clear a bit. Holding her hand, he leaned on the sofa, the pink in his eyes faded, his lips curved slightly with a faint smile, gazing at her intently.
Daisy still needed to do her makeup; she wanted to take a nap first, but with Edward staring at her, it was unnerving—how could she sleep?
"Stop looking at me; we have one more night. You should rest a bit."
