Ariel Morris blocked out everything outside her window, sitting at the desk doing homework. She deliberately lingered for more than an hour before leaving the classroom. At this moment, she was the only one left in the entire class. It wasn't until she stepped out into the hallway that she realized it was getting dark outside.
With her backpack on, she headed downstairs, but as she approached the staircase, a sudden figure emerging startled her.
Accompanying the figure was a soft voice saying, "I've been waiting for you for a long time, Ariel."
Hearing this familiar voice, Ariel Morris' fingertips trembled slightly. She raised her eyes to look at the person walking towards her from the dim stairwell. Even though the light was dim, that striking figure was still as prominent and dazzling, making her lose her senses for a moment.
"Arlo---" Ariel Morris' voice was a bit hoarse and surprised.
