She tried to cover it up but found herself unable to think of a suitable excuse, so she explained with a silly grin, "It's nothing serious, just had a minor argument with my third brother. He'll be fine tomorrow."
On the other end of the phone, Jane Spencer said worriedly, "Maya, things might not be as easy as you think, Liam rejected the contract you helped me sign, and Kinsley's project over there has been terminated."
"Oh! I see! I'll go find my third brother to talk about it now," Maya Spencer said before hanging up the phone. However, she didn't take any action. She didn't care about work matters at all, since the money wouldn't end up in her pocket anyway.
