"Sophie, what exactly did President Land say to you? Don't look so lost. Can you say something?" Sophie now looked as if her soul had been lost, and Eva Miller was getting anxious too.
"He... he didn't say anything to me."
"Didn't say anything?" Eva scoffed, "So he just did it with you, huh? This man, how heartless can he be?"
Eva was indignant. The Land brothers were all the same, self-righteous and arrogant, thinking women were easy to bully!
"If I were you, Sophie, I would have slapped him hard twice. What the hell, it's so disgusting!" Eva was usually fearless, but in front of Asher Land, she was intimidated by his presence. Normally, she wouldn't dare incite Sophie to do something so 'outrageous' as to slap Asher, but this time was different. Asher's behavior really angered her. How could he treat Sophie like this?
