Sophie Smith walked into the East Garden hall, only a few servants were bowing their heads to clean, and she did not see Irene Morton's shadow.
Could she be in Asher Land's room now?
To avoid another conflict with her, she decided it would be better to ask first.
"Excuse me, where is Miss Irene now?" Sophie asked a servant she randomly caught.
The servant, seeing it was Sophie, did not greet her but replied coldly.
"Miss Irene has left with Mr. Morton."
She left with Colton Morton?
"So she won't be coming back here?"
"Not coming back?" The servant sneered, "Miss Irene is the third young master's fiancée, how could she not return here?"
Sophie didn't mean it that way. The servant must think she doesn't want Irene to come back, or maybe that she wants to take Irene's place, which is why they used a mocking tone and contemptuous eyes.
She didn't want to overthink it, so she left the servant and went straight to Asher Land's room.
