There was still no response on the other end of the phone, so did Nolan Davis think she was joking?
Sophie didn't think much of it, ended the call, and tossed the phone onto the bed.
She pulled open the curtains and looked down.
But just as she was about to make her next move, the door suddenly opened.
Nolan Davis's face appeared before her, looking helpless, frustrated, and disappointed.
"Can you be any dumber?"
Sophie could naturally hear the sarcasm in his words, but she just smiled lightly, pretending not to care.
"If I do something stupid, it's because Mr. Davis, you pushed me."
"Ha." He let out a cold laugh, "Yes, I pushed you! All I ever wanted was what's best for you, but to you, it's just unwelcome affection! I'm just being an idiot, right? Get out!"
He opened the door and pointed outside. He did look quite angry at this moment.
Sophie knew he meant well for her, but she just couldn't accept it.
