"You've grown bolder, haven't you?" He curled his lips slightly, but his eyes were chillingly cold.
He walked slowly toward her, and Sophie instinctively stepped back.
He reached out and gripped her wrist, his strength frightening, causing Sophie to frown uncontrollably.
"Young master, please forgive Miss Smith." Nanny Garcia stood by, pleading, "She didn't mean it. You're hurting her doing this." Worry was etched across Nanny Garcia's face.
She hadn't expected that Sophie would actually hit the young master today. Usually, the two of them would bicker, but it would end with some sulking. Who would have thought it would escalate to such a tense situation today? But, who could be blamed for this? Isn't this all a result of his own indulgence?
He looked at her increasingly pale face, the corners of his mouth tugging into a cold sneer.
Sophie felt as if her bones were going to crack under his grip, but she refused to beg for mercy.
