Minji sat on the worn wooden bench just outside the convenience mart, clutching her phone tightly in both hands. Her legs were shaking slightly from the cold night air, and she had already called Na-ri five times in the last ten minutes. Each time, the phone rang and rang, but no one picked up.
"She's still not answering," Minji muttered, her voice low and full of worry. Her breath came out in small clouds.
Mun sat beside her, his brows furrowed, quietly trying Jin Woo's number on his phone. Just like Minji's attempts, the call kept ringing.
"Still nothing," Mun said, glancing at Minji. "Phones are probably on silent."
"Why would they put their phones on silent? This is urgent!" Minji snapped, then sighed, pulling her knees up to her chest beneath the thin jacket. "What if something happens to them, Mun? What if he's already on his way?"
