The most difficult thing a man does is controlling his destiny.
Making decisions of which turn his life should take, rivalling fate and anything that stands between him and his goals.
Even if such a man fails, he's strong, strong enough to be considered god-like.
The power to control ones fate is as a result of a god-like will, unshakeable, irrespective of the methods used or the reason.
Once you made a plan and achieve it, you're one step above an average human.
But what if a Devil takes his fate into his own hands, what happens then? A devil gaining a god-like will like that, what will he become?

Lucifer, being the strongest in the underworld, naturally is the ruler.
And just like there's system and organization in every world, the underworld had its own system of governance and rule.
There are 7 levels of the underworld–generally called hell, each a spot serving for different levels of sins that falls into the seven deadly sins.
Outside these 7 levels of hell, there is the Abyss, a place so powerful and restricted thy Lucifer himself can't come and go as he pleased... it's a place only Eli doom heavenly angels who have committed the worst atrocities to.
Lucifer was once barnished into Abyss but was lifted to rule over hell. He was considered the most fitting candidate.
In this abyss, a devil matched with fierce and fury, with burning eyes, showing the god-like will to change his fate, to the ruler's chamber.
Now Azrael, the ruler and strongest of Abyss was being challenged for the throne by this devil who had caused chaos to his rule.
They stare at each other, ready to pounce and devour. It's a battle in the abyss.
