**Chapter 466: Superhuman Disappearance Case (2) Clues for the Unlucky Fellow**
"ZOOM!"
Custom spider silk synthesized from the Splitter Armor pulled Gwen onto the Empire State Building. With the armor's surveillance mode, it became an excellent vantage point.
Walking low, Gwen strolled along the building's edge while scanning the surrounding area centered around the Empire State Building.
The last missing superhuman was a mutant. According to the Daily Bugle, the mutant was a regular Indian man named Neil Sharra, sent to the U.S. by his company for business. For the first three days, all was well—he even secured a major deal for his firm in America.
Had things proceeded normally, Neil should've been promoted and rewarded. But alas, tragedy struck during his most successful days.
On the fifth day of his trip to America, his final day in the country, a refreshed Neil decided to visit the famous Empire State Building. Earlier at the hotel, he had chatted with the staff about taking a picture there.
Not only to commemorate his American journey, but Neil also wanted to use the Empire State Building as a symbol of his rising fortune.
Regrettably, this free nation didn't grant him good luck. Instead, it brought his downfall.
On the way to the Empire State Building, Neil encountered a robbery. Apparently, he was ambushed by a group of local hooligans notorious for targeting foreigners.
Interviews with bystanders revealed these delinquents specifically preyed on immigrants, who typically had shallow roots in the country.
Even if they acted violently, no one would intervene. Their underage status further emboldened them. Besides, foreign targets rarely had firearms.
Neil initially resisted but found no help nearby. Trapped and unable to call the police, he reluctantly handed over his money.
But the hooligans pressed their advantage, demanding to search his backpack. Neil refused, and tensions escalated into physical conflict.
Outnumbered, Neil was beaten to the ground. Just as bystanders prepared to intervene to prevent a fatality, an incident occurred.
Neil's hands erupted with astonishing energy, flinging his attackers away. Many onlookers also felt the backlash.
Indeed, in the face of mortal danger, Neil awakened his mutant powers. Later confirmed, his ability resembled ion heat projection. Nearly all his assailants suffered fourth-degree burns, their conditions grim.
The worst affected bystanders received second-degree burns, while others sustained lesser injuries.
Thus, Neil not only failed to ascend but also faced a mountain of lawsuits. Logically, under duress and unaware of his actions, his self-defense should've lessened culpability.
But sorry to say, as a mutant, he instantly became the accused. What was reasonable turned unreasonable. Instead of victimhood, he became the perpetrator. Ideally, Magneto should've sent aid, but worse befell him.
Neil's incident occurred roughly a week ago. At the time, Yang Le and Gwen were elsewhere. Mutants were locked in a fierce struggle with the High Evolutionary, leaving no one to notice this unfortunate soul.
Afterward, Magneto and the mutants left to focus on their mutant nation project. Per Yang Le's connection to his alternate self, Magneto and others were preoccupied with establishing the nation and had no time for external affairs.
Magneto's ultimatum to the human government was publicly recognized, though the authorities wouldn't endorse mutant sovereignty.
Success depended entirely on Magneto's own efforts.
So unlucky Neil bore the brunt of his fellow mutants' judgment.
He accrued medical bills and compensation claims—not only from his attackers but also the bystanders affected by collateral damage.
Depleted of all savings, Neil was left with only his clothes. His career prospects and orders vanished. His company distanced itself. In a short span, he experienced life's extremes.
Neil's streak of bad luck had one silver lining: the rise of Magneto's mutant nation. Many mutants deemed safe by society could avoid imprisonment. Once the nation was established, Neil could be transferred there.
During this waiting period, he was detained in a specialized mutant jail. But two days ago, he vanished. Guards discovered his absence during roll call.
Some suspected escape, but others linked Neil's disappearance to recent superhuman disappearances, including the Daily Bugle.
Gwen found the correlation tenuous, but Yang Le offered an explanation.
In Yang Le's view, Neil's escape was unlikely. First, his mutant powers guaranteed any breakout would cause significant commotion.
Moreover, photos leaked that night showed neither his room nor the jail damaged. Thus, Neil didn't vanish through his own strength.
Second, no jailed mutant would risk exposure to aid an outsider like Neil. Even if some concealed their abilities, why jeopardize themselves for a newcomer? Better to escape on their own.
Third, the notion Neil's disappearance was a test run by another mutant was absurd. Post-disappearance, the jail's alert level rose. Yang Le doubted any fool would undertake such a thankless task.
Fourth, Neil's singular mutant capability mirrored earlier disappearances. His unique power drew attention—why him, and not others?

Chapter 467 Interlude: Accidental Encounter
After listening to Yang Le's analysis, Gwen also felt that this matter was indeed a bit strange. This business trip was Neil's first time in America. He had no relatives or acquaintances here.
It could be said that if it weren't for the sudden ability awakening, no one would have noticed this nobody. It seemed that someone was indeed targeting his ability.
Turning a Mutant's ability into something tangible was not something ordinary people could do. Just as Yang Le said, currently, the Government and the Military were the most suspicious.
Based on the convenience of his own abilities, Yang Le proactively took on the investigation targeting the Government and the Military. In contrast, Gwen naturally ran to the street to start patrolling, to see if she could find any useful news.
However, Gwen herself didn't have much hope for this kind of luck-based behavior on the street. But for the rare hero activities, she still held a certain degree of passion. Even if she didn't find anything useful, taking a swing around New York, which she hadn't done in a while, would be nice.
Of course, Gwen wasn't wandering around aimlessly. She decided to first go to the places where the disappeared superhumans were recorded to have been before, hoping to find some clues.
The first person Gwen came to investigate was Neil, who disappeared last. After all, evidence has a shelf life. The older the case, the fewer clues there are. It's always right to start searching from the most recent case.
Gwen's first stop was the Mutant Detention Center. However, because Neil's disappearance had brought no small panic to society, in order to reverse the outside world's question about the Detention Center's safety problem, the Detention Center's security, and even the building itself, had been upgraded.
The crime scene had already been completely changed, so naturally, it was impossible to find anything useful. Gwen relied on the invisibility function of her stealth suit to sneak in and wander around for a while before leaving.
Next was the Hotel where Neil had lived. Similarly, because of the cleaner, nothing useful could be found. Finally, it was the Empire State Building, the place where Neil's ability awakening had occurred.
But unfortunately, not far from here, the place where Neil's ability awakening happened, the public facilities that were charred black by his ability, and even the ground bricks, had been replaced. Because Neil's case had already been closed and judged, naturally, there would no longer be any police line or anything to protect the scene. Nothing could be searched for either.
"Bad start," Gwen sighed softly, using a web to leave the Empire State Building and came to a relatively low building. Gwen planned to enjoy her lunch here. If it weren't for Snow Leopard's reminder from her stealth suit, she would have almost forgotten to eat.
Climbing to the top of the water tank, she pulled down the backpack that was stuck to it. Gwen flipped over and landed on the ground, then walked to the edge of the building, sat down on the edge, and stretched her legs out naturally, looking like a stock trader who had lost everything, choosing a flight gesture.
Humming the tune they had composed together in Mary Jane's band, Gwen unzipped her backpack. Inside was her lunch for today, a huge beef sandwich, and a sports drink. There were also many individually wrapped energy bars and chocolate, for emergencies.
Seeing the lunch Yang Le had carefully prepared for her, Gwen's eyebrows curved into crescents. In a good mood, she was thinking about where to start eating from first.
"Tap tap tap!"
Just as Gwen was about to take a big bite of the sandwich, a burst of rapid footsteps attracted her attention. However, since the stealth suit was made of nanite robots, Gwen didn't need to take off the entire mask. She only needed to move the nanocrystals in the mouth area, so Gwen wasn't flustered.
Gwen raised the sandwich and turned her head back. On the way back, she also took a bite of the sandwich. Suddenly, the milky aroma of the bread, the salty aroma of the special sauce and cheese, and the meat fragrance of the steak, all kinds of flavors exploded in her oral cavity together.
Along with the deliciousness, the door to the rooftop was also opened. A black-haired girl was panting and propping herself up with her legs. Perhaps because she had run up to the rooftop, this girl had no energy to raise her head to look at Gwen, but her mouth was still saying loudly and intermittently.
"Wait... wait a minute, don't... don't jump!"
It turned out to be a kind-hearted girl who thought she was going to jump off the building. Gwen chewed the sandwich in her mouth, feeling warm-hearted and amused at the same time.
"Hehehe..."
Gwen quickly shut her mouth. She didn't expect to laugh out loud, and the girl opposite her obviously heard it, and her body suddenly stiffened.
'Crap, crap, this is someone who is so despair about the world that they've gone crazy,' Cindy thought to herself, feeling bad. She was just an ordinary high school girl and didn't understand any negotiation techniques.
Today, she had just gone to her family's company to visit her Papa. When she was going home, she stretched and looked up, and just happened to see a pair of legs sticking out from the rooftop. Thinking someone was going to jump off the building, she rushed up without thinking. What should she do now? What if she said something wrong and broke the person down?
In any case, she should first stabilize the other person and then secretly call the police!
Having made up her mind, Cindy had also almost calmed her heartbeat. She slowly raised her head, ready to speak, but just happened to see the visuals of Gwen putting the last piece of the sandwich into her mouth.
"Huh?" Cindy was stunned on the spot.
"Huh?" Gwen was also stunned. She didn't expect to see a 'familiar face' in this universe.
Cindy Moon, to be precise, should be considered her enemy. According to her and Yang Le's investigation, the reason why she obtained spider superpowers was because Cindy from Universe 65B was playing tricks.
Because Cindy from Universe 65B wanted to obtain spider superpowers herself but didn't dare to experiment on herself, she arranged an act to make herself her experiment.
Later, Harry's Papa and Kingpin's matters also had her shadow. However, after Yang Le sent Kingpin to prison, Cindy also disappeared. No one knew where she went.
Later, Gwen gradually threw this matter into a corner of her memory. She didn't expect to remember it again in this way today. However, the Cindy in front of her was not her enemy.
But looking at this face that originally made her gnash her teeth in hatred, Gwen was still a little embarrassed, and for a while, she didn't know how to open her mouth.
"What, it's you." Cindy sighed, put one hand on her hip, and looked at Gwen unhappily.
Gwen was a little surprised, pointed at herself, and asked, "You know me?"
"Of course, I'm also a student at Midtown High School. I was at the scene of the superhuman terrorist attack yesterday." Cindy waved her hand.
"Thank you for saving all of us. I was still thinking about how to thank you. I didn't expect to run into you here."
"Uh, you're welcome." Gwen closed her mask, secretly threw the oil paper wrapping the sandwich into her backpack, and said calmly.
Chapter 468: Inhumans Appear
As Yang Le initially envisioned, the Government and Military indeed had many secret locations for researching Superhumans. These were supposed to be top-level secrets, but they were laid bare by Upgrade's ability.
This is Upgrade, the strongest among the initial ten heroes in the Ben 10 original series. In this age of advanced technology, almost no secret can be kept from him, unless you completely abstain from using any technological products.
However, unfortunately, these Research Institutes did not contain anyone from the missing persons list published by the Daily Bugle. According to Yang Le's investigation, most of the Superhumans trapped here were criminals who had been arrested, and a small number had voluntarily entered because they couldn't find work.
The involuntary ones were a very small batch. Although Yang Le wanted to intervene, even if he rescued all of them, there would be no place to settle these Superhumans.
After all, these people were a mixed bag. Releasing criminals might very likely lead to re-offending, and those who couldn't find work would continue to go hungry. As for the involuntary batch, they had already disappeared for so long, their social connections had long been in a mess, and starting over could be said to be extremely difficult.
After thinking it over, Yang Le came up with a method. He sent the locations of these secret Research Institutes to the Supercomputer on Floating Island, which was the one in the Beast Laboratory, via email.
Having obtained these addresses, the Mutants would surely take action. Even if they couldn't spare extra energy right now due to nation-building, it wouldn't be long before they would send people to rescue them. After all, they were currently in need of subjects for nation-building.
In this way, Yang Le reported a total of four Research Institutes to the Mutants. When he reached the fifth one, Yang Le discovered something different, or rather, a different kind of Superhuman.
According to the Superhuman's Experiment Report, this was a very unusual Superhuman. His hands, chest, and neck were all covered by a special substance resembling rock. Although this substance was similar to rock, its toughness was far beyond what stone could compare to.
After testing, this substance could easily block bullets and swords, and an electric drill would take a long time to drill off some shavings. Only a laser could easily cut through this special skin.
It was a simple yet powerful ability, but this was not the reason he was special. What surprised many researchers was that this person was not a Mutant. No special gene, temporarily named the X-Gene that all Mutants possessed, was detected in his body.
It should be known that Mutants' abilities all come from this gene that is different from ordinary person, but the Superhuman before them did not have this active gene, which meant he was definitely not a Mutant. But what was strange was that this special Superhuman had not been injected with special serum, nor had he experienced being contaminated by some chemical raw material.
No, it should be said that everything about this Superhuman was unknown. After investigation, no information about this Superhuman could be found, as if such a person had never appeared in Human Society. He was as if he had appeared out of nowhere.
Not only that, this Superhuman also threatened the researchers to release him, otherwise they would receive unbearable rage.
These words almost directly identified the identity of this Superhuman. A Superhuman with special power who had no trace of existence in Human Society, in the Marvel Universe, Yang Le could immediately think of that race that was opposed to Mutants—the Inhumans.
Inhumans and Mutants, accurately speaking, both belong to the Earthling population. In fact, to be precise, there are almost no purebred Earthlings in the Marvel Universe now. They are basically Mutants with inactive X-Genes, all because of the Celestial's experiment in ancient times.
As for the Inhumans, they originated from the Kree's experiment. The initial purpose was to create a group of super soldiers to fight against their enemies, the Skrulls. But unfortunately, the Inhumans' abilities were also very unstable and could not meet the Kree's requirements at all, so they were eventually abandoned.
However, the abandoned Inhumans developed on their own. After a long development, the Inhumans, in isolation from the world, developed a civilization unique to themselves and are one of the most mysterious races on Earth. Almost no one knows of their existence.
In Yang Le's view, the Superhuman in front of him was very likely an Inhuman sent out on official business and was probably captured as an ordinary Mutant while on a mission.
Don't look at how similar the settings of Inhumans and Mutants are, but in fact, Inhumans are more like a new race independent of Humans than Mutants. Moreover, the method of ability awakening for Inhumans is also very different from that of Mutants.
Mutants' ability awakening usually requires external stimuli. Danger, anger, sadness, and other strong emotions or actions can cause the X-Gene in their bodies to become active, thereby awakening abilities.
But Inhumans are different. Although they also need external stimuli, they are more stable than Mutants. Inhumans collectively receive something called Terrigen Mist in childhood. After coming into contact with this thing, Inhumans will awaken abilities.
Terrigen Mist is extracted from Terrigen Crystals. The Inhumans control these things and continue the development of their clan.
However, this foundation of the Inhumans' existence is highly poisonous to Mutants. After Mutants come into contact with Terrigen Mist, they will die from poisoning in a very short time. It can almost be said to be the most effective weapon targeting Mutants.
Because of this thing, in the Main Universe plot, the two sides have fought many wars over this matter.
Inhumans are relatively united, all thanks to their outdated caste system. In the Inhuman Race, many things are predetermined before you are born.
Just like in ancient India, the lower class must obey the orders of the upper class. In the Inhuman Race, there are even things similar to slaves. The lower class people must abide by the rules and regulations of the Inhumans, and as for the upper class, they naturally comply.
Yang Le thought for a while on the computer and finally hacked into the entire base's monitoring system and then slowly flowed out from a surveillance camera. It seemed that it was not the Inhuman's turn for an experiment today, so there was no one else in the prison where he was being detained besides him.
Perhaps it was because he was too special, this Inhuman had a separate cell, and to prevent the other party from rioting, there was also a specialized instrument to control him in a sleeping state.
Yang Le activated the Omnitrix, activated the gene scanning function, and began scanning the Inhuman.
(End of Chapter)
Chapter 469: Kidnapped
As expected, the result after Omnitrix Scanning was exactly the same as Yang Le thought.
In Omnitrix's view, the Inhumans could not be considered a new race. They belonged to a hybrid of Humans and Kree. On the Inhuman in front of him, Yang Le scanned the DNA of two races.
One was from Humans, and the other was from an unknown race that Omnitrix did not know. Yang Le knew that it was Kree, because the Inhumans were created by the Kree using their blood and crossbreeding with Earthlings.
Therefore, in the view of the machine created by Azmuth, who is full of respect for Life, the Inhumans still belonged to the Human race, and the genes of the Inhumans were very unhealthy. Omnitrix even issued a Red Alert.
This was of course the case. This was also the reason why the Kree abandoned the Inhumans in the first place. After the Inhumans came into contact with the Terrigen Mist, the genes in their bodies would begin to Mutation. The reason for using the word "Mutation" is because whether it becomes good or bad is completely unknown.
The good Mutations might be like Black Bolt, where just a whisper can destroy a City, while the bad Mutations might turn into Monsters that make people lose their sanity, and they might even die directly.
In Omnitrix's view, the Inhuman in front of him was a Terminally Ill Patient in a hopeless situation. The Artificial Intelligence installed inside the Little Broken Watch even proactively requested to treat the poor person in front of him.
However, Yang Le knew that the Inhumans were such a twisted race. They were like Scottish Fold Cats, and the deformed part was their foundation. If Yang Le treated the Inhuman in front of him, it would be no different from killing him.
Don't think that Omnitrix regards the Inhumans as Earthlings. The Inhumans themselves don't think so. They have already regarded themselves as a race independent of Humans.
Turning off the Scanning Function of the Omnitrix, Yang Le transformed from Upgrade into Goop again. He took out a uniquely shaped dagger hanging from his waist.
The Blade of the dagger was nothing special. The main reason for saying it was unique was because a Black Semi-circular Crystal was embedded at the end of the hilt.
Without hesitation, Yang Le reversed the dagger and inserted it straight into the Control Panel in front of him. After the Blade entered the Control Panel, the Black Crystal at the end of the hilt changed.
About 1 cm away from the Crystal, a Semi-transparent Light Ring suddenly appeared. In the Center of the Light Ring, a string of Text that did not belong to Earth appeared, and it stopped after changing rapidly for a few seconds.
"Beep beep!"
The Gate of the Cell where the Inhuman was imprisoned opened. The Device that put the Inhuman in front of him into a coma was also turned off. The Respirator was no longer delivering Hypnotic Gas. Yang Le walked in and tore off the Respirator Mask.
"Ugh..."
The Inhuman let out a mumble, his eyelids began to twitch, and then his Eyes opened a slit, revealing his unusual Red Eyeball.
"You are?"
Although the researchers had controlled the dosage, inhaling Hypnotic Gas for many days still had a considerable impact on the Inhuman. His Head was now dizzy and he could not even Control his Body to get up.
"¥...&%(%%, Someone paid Money for me to come and save you."
Yang Le first habitually spoke the Language of the Gutrot race. After realizing it, he changed to English. You should know that the Language of Gutrot is also very difficult to understand. To what extent is it difficult to understand? It is the same as Wildmutt's Language, both of which belong to the type that even Omnitrix cannot translate, but it is a little easier to understand than Wildmutt's Language.
However, for the Inhuman who had never heard Gutrot's Language, Yang Le's first half of the sentence was like meaningless roaring. His loose Spirit tightened up, and even after hearing the second half of the sentence, he did not relax.
"You... who exactly are you?" the Inhuman asked weakly. Yang Le ignored him, used the Dagger in his Hand to cut off the Restraint Device that bound the Inhuman, and then carried him on his Back.
Inhaling too much Hypnotic Gas, coupled with being only given Glucose for many days and not really eating, the Inhuman was completely unable to resist Yang Le's actions and could only let him carry himself on his Body.
Yang Le grasped the Inhuman with his Right Hand, and then activated the Phase Shift attached to his Armor. This Function was originally not on his Armor, but Yang Le later used Grey Matter to install this Function on Goop's Armor, which was considered a kind of reinforcement.
The Sound of Air Being Torn came. When Yang Le could see the Environment in front of him clearly, they had already left the Laboratory and appeared in a Forest.
This place was hundreds of miles away from the Laboratory, which was considered the Limit of the current Phase Transfer System. Without affecting the original Armor's Armament, Grey Matter could only do this for the time being.
By the way, this Knowledge all came from the Meeting between Yang Le and Reed Richards.
Seeing that there was no danger around, Yang Le threw the Inhuman on his Back onto the Ground. To be honest, he was quite heavy, after all, that Rock-like Skin was not just for decoration.
Taking out the Life Energy Supplement that had not been used for a long time, Yang Le pried open the other person's mouth and poured it down, completely ignoring the other person's resistance.
"This thing is very precious." Yang Le curled his lips. Of course, precious refers to the Effect of the supplement. This thing is not only simple to make, but even the production process is extremely simple.
Throwing away the empty supplement packaging, Yang Le looked at the Inhuman in front of him who was panting heavily. The reason why Yang Le saved him was not because he felt sorry for him, but because he was afraid that the Inhumans would do something.
When dealing with outsiders, the Inhuman race still values their Compatriot very much. Those Inhumans who are scattered outside, as long as they know, they will definitely recall them to Attilan, which is the Kingdom of the Inhumans.
And the Inhuman in front of him, judging from the known Message, is obviously an Inhuman with a Mission. This kind of Inhuman who can receive external Missions must have a high Status. If the Inhumans find out that their dispatched person has been captured by Humans for Experiments, then the Inhumans might really cause a top-notch event like a blitz of Washington.
The Inhuman who drank the Life Energy Supplement quickly discovered the magic of this thing. His originally weak Body was gradually becoming active, but his Brain was still dizzy.
"Who exactly are you? And why did you save me?" The Inhuman still did not relax his vigilance. His experiences since leaving Attilan made him unable to let down his guard again. He wondered if he had just left the Wolf pack and entered the Hand's mouth again.
Facing the Question of the Inhuman, Yang Le did not answer him. Instead, he activated the Phase Shift Ability again and disappeared without a trace.
The Inhuman was dumbfounded. Why didn't the other side play according to the routine? He was still waiting to counter the moves. Why did you retreat first?
However, in fact, Yang Le did not leave. He just used the Phase Ability to transfer to the Woods a few meters away, and then transformed back into Ant-Man and returned to the Inhuman's side.
After all, the Inhumans have the habit of taking back Compatriot who are scattered outside, so Yang Le wanted to see if he could find any Clue on this Inhuman.
(End of Chapter)
Frost Phantom, having transformed into Nanomech, just flew openly and without fear to the front of that Inhuman. His current size was one nanometer, a size that ordinary people or Superhumans could not observe.
If one were to choose an Alien Hero from the Omnitrix best suited for stealth and tracking, some might choose Ghostfreak, Big Chill, or Chromastone. However, in Yang Le's opinion, Nanomech was the most suitable.
Both Ghostfreak and Chromastone could be detected by specialized Scanners or Thermal Imagers. Big Chill's Ability, however, wasn't true Invisibility and would leave behind a translucent Afterimage, only achieving a semblance of Invisibility when the Light Ray wasn't particularly strong.
Nanomech was different. Although Nanomech himself didn't possess an Invisibility-like Ability, he had the Ability to shrink almost infinitely. Once shrunk to a certain extent, creature's Eyes simply couldn't see him.
This was even more useful than Invisibility because most machines in the World couldn't even react to things at the nanometer level, let alone Nanomech, who could shrink even smaller than a Nanometer.
By the way, Yang Le could enter the Quantum Realm in Nanomech State. Yang Le had once gone in to play during his time as a fruit farmer. However, considering that Comics or Movies mentioned that the Time Stream of the Quantum Realm differed from other Universes, Yang Le left the Quantum Realm after verifying his Idea.
However, upon leaving, Yang Le encountered a small Problem: simply growing larger wasn't enough to exit the Quantum Realm. Not wanting to linger, Yang Le reluctantly transformed into Alien X again and finally escaped the Quantum Realm.
The Time spent in the Quantum Realm, according to Yang Le's subjective Time, was less than three minutes. However, approximately two days had passed in the Real World. Luckily, Yang Le had informed Scott and the others that he would be away for a while before entering the Quantum Realm, otherwise, they might have thought he was missing.
However, Yang Le wasn't sure if he could only enter the Quantum Realm as Nanomech within the Worldview of the Marvel Universe. After all, the Quantum Realm was directly connected to an extremely important element of the Marvel Universe—Pym Particles. Yang Le's easy entry into the Quantum Realm might be due to this backdoor.
Perhaps Yang Le wouldn't be able to do this in the DC Universe, which lacked this element. However, this Business still needed to be tested in practice to be certain.
While Yang Le was lost in thought, the Inhuman in front of him had already begun to move. The Inhuman first sat on the Ground for a while, seemingly to recover enough Stamina, before finally standing up.
The Inhuman walked while looking around and up, as if searching for something. After walking for a few minutes, he seemed to finally find what he was looking for and immediately quickened his pace towards the discovered Goal.
The target the Inhuman locked onto was a tall, thick Great Tree. Just as Yang Le was wondering what the Inhuman intended to do, the latter immediately provided the Answer.
The Inhuman took a step like an Arrow and leaped up the Great Tree. Relying on his strong arms, he climbed to the treetop in a few Seconds. Only then did Yang Le understand that he was looking for Direction.
The place Yang Le had Teleportation the Inhuman to was a Woods. In this dense Forest, it's easy to lose Direction. The Inhuman could be considered to have used his strong Physical Fitness to Cracking this predicament.
After climbing to the treetop, the Inhuman surprisingly discovered signs of human habitation in the distance. A gray-black Smoke was very eye-catching, a sign of Human activity.
After determining the Direction, the Inhuman didn't jump down from the Tree, but instead jumped from treetop to treetop. He began to move by jumping from treetop to treetop, and his Speed was not slow. Even with Nanomech's Speed, Yang Le was almost left behind.
After five minutes of rapid movement, the Inhuman and Yang Le arrived together at the place where the smoke was coming from. It was a Campsite composed of several RV/Motorhomes, and the smoke was coming from a Campfire in the Center, surrounded by the RV/Motorhomes.
Several Young People were chatting around the Campfire, each holding a bowl of Fast Food, chatting and eating heartily.
That Inhuman hadn't eaten since being imprisoned, relying solely on IV drips to maintain his vital signs. Now, those cheap and unhealthy Fast Food seemed no different from Delicacies to him.
The Inhuman roughly pushed aside the Great Tree that had been concealing him, and the thick Tree Trunk surprisingly broke into two pieces with a single touch. This loud Sound immediately attracted the attention of the Young People.
When they saw an unknown Humanoid Creature with its upper body covered in Rock, a tall Figure, smashing a Great Tree and rushing towards them, any normal Human would be afraid, especially these Young People who had escaped for a Vacation. Almost as soon as the Inhuman took his second step, they Scream and scattered in all directions.
But the Inhuman's Goal wasn't them, but the Fast Food they had casually discarded. The Fast Food in the containers hadn't all spilled out. The Inhuman ignored the scalding hot Food and almost threw the Fast Food into his mouth.
By the time Yang Le returned, the Inhuman had already eaten all the Food clean.
Some might wonder why Yang Le had left for a moment. It was because if Creatures escape in a State of Panic, they wouldn't pay attention to Direction. In this Great Forest, they were very likely to get lost. To prevent this dangerous situation, Yang Le could only use Nanomech's Laser to stun these Young People. Then, he gathered them all in a place no more than four or five meters from the Camp.
Nanomech's Laser could almost be said to be his only Means of Attack, but unfortunately, the Damage this Light Ray inflicted on Creatures was very limited. Stunning them was already the Limit, and the duration of the stun wasn't very long either.
After eating and drinking his fill, the Inhuman began searching the Camp and eventually found a Phone in an RV/Motorhome.
Clearly, this Inhuman had some understanding of Human Technology. He was surprisingly able to skillfully use a Human Mobile phone and dial a number.
Yang Le flapped his Wings and flew even closer to hear the content of the call.
The Phone connected after a busy tone, but no Sound came from the other end. Instead, the Inhuman spoke.
"I am Gao Lei Mu," the Inhuman said in a low voice.
"Tell me, Gao Lei Mu," a hoarse Sound came from the receiver, sounding like Nails scratching a Blackboard, making one shudder. "Why did you finally deign to contact me after so many days?"
