At first it had been negligible. Something that could be ignored. Heck, Aria gave a lot of reasons to herself for why it was happening even though she knew it was a lie.
She had just woken up with Zyren having already gotten off the bed and left. But her legs had barely hit the ground and she instantly knew that something was wrong.
At first she had thought it was nothing more than morning jitters and grogginess as she went ahead to activate her abilities to combat the nausea she usually felt.
Only for her heart to skip a beat as she stared at her hands and body. Clearly, her ability had not activated. She tried again, and again, even as her heart pounded harder in her chest. Doing it the best way she knew how, but no matter what, her abilities remained dormant.
She could feel it in her body, but no matter what she did, she could not activate it. It's fine… it's just temporary… she slowly scrambled off the bed, pacing a bit in the room even as she realized what it meant.
