Ian bit down on her lower lip, stretching the skin until she hissed, but then he kissed on it, soothing and that made her heart thump, loudly she could hear it.
The little chance she got, she broke the kiss, throwing her head back against the wall to catch her breath. "Y-you've got to stop. I can't…I can't breathe. I-I-I need to breathe."
He stared down at her, eyes darkened.
And she gazed up at him.
What…what had they just done? She shouldn't have allowed that. She shouldn't have let him kiss her, and she sure as hell shouldn't have kissed him back.
What was wrong with her?
Why was she so strangely drawn to this man—so stupidly it felt hard to resist him, as if she were gummed to him? Why does he have this sort of effect on her, as if….
