The silence stretched after Kaiden's departure, each of his girls still seated around the table as if moving too soon would break something fragile.
Luna was the first to speak, fingers tapping against her mug as she stared toward the hallway he had taken. "Should we go after him?" she asked, voice measured, "Before he does something irreversible…"
The answer came instantly.
"No," Nyx, Aria, Calypso, and Bastet decreed together, their voices overlapping in perfect sync.
"..." Alice wasn't quite on the same wavelength, but the little sis decided to stay quiet, sensing that giving Kaiden space might be for the best.
Luna turned, brows lifting as she looked around the table. "Wow," the gamer girl said, glancing between them. "We actually agreed. That never happens. But are you girls sure?"
Aria lowered her voice. "I've been thinking… We're around Kai constantly, clinging to his presence with all our might."
