"Ahhh!!!"
A feminine scream disrupted the peace and tranquility of a serene beach who's blue sea tossed a magnificent wave from time to time. The beach seemed to be a part of an uncharted island just off the coast of pismo beach.
"What the hell Mikey! That was way too close, We're you trying to kill me?!"
An elegant figure, hovering in the air like it was her natural habitat called out in dread.
"That was nothing, Mio...you should be able to dodge or block more than that to survive "
Mike, a dazzling male with a domineering presence replied, his eyes filled with blinding focus while levitating in the air.
"(...why is he doing this, we're supposed to be testing out the limits of our abilities but this is....he's been like this since he woke up)"
Mio wonder's as she dodges and blocks each attack thrown by Mike who is using his telekinetic ability to launch metal pipes at her ruthlessly.
Mike, after regaining consciousness from the earlier convulsions, immediately gathered some supplies and warped himself and Mio to this undiscovered island and said they needed to train.
*screech!!* *fuew!* *fuew!*
"What the...." *whish!*
Mio couldn't finish that sentence as she had to dodge one of the incoming attacks, Mike had sharpened two metal pipes and launched it at her without warning.
"Wind blade!" she said, her voice loud but firm. Just like the words she said, she had compressed wind into a circular blade and launched it at the second pipe and sliced it in half.
"Is this training or a death match?!" She asked, her expression pissed.
Mike didn't utter a single word, he compiled tons of scrap metal together to form a giant flat wall, he had teleported a lot scraps from the junkyard to the island before bringing Mio there. So he had just enough to make a devastating attack.
A dark shadow was suddenly cast on the sunny island, specifically the spot where Mio was hovering, the scrap wall had covered a 50 metre radius around her.
Mike launched the attack downward on her in an attempt to crush Mio completely, Mike had always strived to protect Mio by any means possible but at that moment, he was the one putting her in danger, his eye's blank as though robbed of emotion, his limbs completely relaxed as he swung them down, sending the giangantic wall of death down on her, Maybe he really wanted to kill her...?
The scene got darker as the danger approached, Mio stood there, her eyes widened, her jaws dropped and bathed with goosebumps, there's no other way to put it, she was...absolutely terrified.
Mio's knees dropped, as her legs ran out of strength, she was kneeling her body trembling.
There was no way to dodge or block the attack, Mio was completely helpless.
"(...I-I can't avoid it...is this the end, I thought Mike cared about me...was that a lie...)"
With that thought she took a glance at Mike once more, she could still see Mike who was a few meters away from the attack.
Mike looked unfazed, completely un bothered by the danger.
"(No!...Mike would never do that to me, either he's not himself or he's testing me, either way I have to pass the test or snap him out of it!!)"
Mio's thoughts almost audible with how loud they were, lit a fire of determination in her eyes, and as if to further highlight her unyielding determination, her eyes lit up, glowing with a blueish white light.
The descent of the giant wall was suddenly halted. From Mike's point of view, he could see a huge wind tornado almost the size of the wall, holding the wall up.
*kpoooo!!!*
Just then, a huge bolt of lightning suddenly struck the wall and completely shattered it to pieces. And out of the rubble came a glowing figure who flew into the air.
"Finally...Mio, she finally took me seriously."
Mike muttered to himself, his cold expression brightening up with a smile of relief, as if he'd accomplished an important goal.
Mio, hovering in the sky, her blueish white hair glowing and fluttering in the air, her entire body saturated and covered in the lightning that she continuously generated. She was literally inside a ball of lightning.
[Ping! - Warning, the target has been influenced by the traits of her unknown "Race"]
Mike gasped, hearing the warning.
The systems voice seemed to add more tension to the scene.
Mio, still in the air, lifted her hands and from it came a concentrated beam of lightning, she immediately unleashed a devastating strike on Mike.
"I'm fucked!"
Mike's mouth could only utter the words which could describe the situation he was in.
The bolt of lightning approached it's target in a matter of seconds, there was absolutely no way Mike could avoid it, is there...?
"Body Acceleration."
Mike whispered, his voice below his breath.
And instantly Mike who was levitating with his telekinesis, gained an insane amount of speed that was enough to dodge the bolt of lightning.
The attack parted the water on the oceans beach revealing the depts.
*huff* *huff*
"(...I can't believe...I just saw my life flash before my eyes, is that really Mio...wait, the system warning said...)"
Mike realizing what is currently happening with Mio, immediately called on top of his voice....
"Mio!!, I know this all my fault but you gotta snap out of it, otherwise you'll destroy the whole island!!!
As if his words only served to fan the flames, A storm cloud covered the entire island in a blink of an eye, Mio standing in the air with a majestic goddess like figure.
Raised her hands and said in a cold emotionless voice....
"Lightning storm, Rain of lightning"
And just then thousands of lightning bolts were summoned from the Storm cloud, and aimed at Mike.
"Oh shit!, now I'm truly fucked!"
He yelled, and quickly swung into dodging as many bolts as he could with his new technique.
"Accelerate!, Accelerate!!, Accelerate!!!"
*zoom!* *strike!!* *zoom!!* *strike!!* *zoom!!!* *blast!!!*
He managed to avoid some of them, but there was a lot more where that came from, and he seemed out of breath.
*huff!* *huff!*
"(...the new technique I learned consumes a lot of stamina, so I can't use it constantly because of my low stats in stamina...)
"Accelerate!!"
*zoom!* *strike!!*
He dodged another blast while still contemplating...
"(...this technique...is basically just accelerating my physical abilities by speeding up time...but as it stands I can't continue this, although I didn't want to but I'll have to use that...)"
*warp*
*blast!* *boom!!!*
Mike had initially wanted to use only his telekinesis but as it stood he had already used time manipulation, and if he continued holding back he might actually die.
He had used teleportation to avoid the attacks and warp behind the out of control Mio, who immediately turned and shot another lightning blast from her hands.
Mike kept dodging all the blasts that she kept dishing out of her hands.
"(If this continues...she'll only get agitated, and I'll loose her for good, I have to think of a plan...)"
*Zap!!!*
"Ugh!!"
Before Mike's thoughts were diluted, he was caught in the throat by the hands of Mio who literally became lightning itself and zapped towards him grabbing him by the neck with unthinkable speed.
As Mio lifted him with one hand, from the other hand sprung out a blade made of lightning in the tip of her fingers, and raised the lightning blade up to his chest.
"Mio...I know you're still...in there, if you can...hear me, please...I'm s-sorry."
Mike barely managed to push out those words from his choking throat.
And just then, tears rolled down Mio's cheeks from her left eye, and her glowing eyes slowly became normal, and then came the word....
"M-Mikey?!"
Immediately after calling out his name, the Storm clouds disappeared, her grasp on Mike's neck loosened, her eyes closed as she fell from the sky.
"Mio!!, Accelerate!!!!"
*zoom*
And ofcourse Mike, without caring about his limits went after her at 10 times the speed of sound.
