Boom—
Tsunade stomped down hard, her foot slamming into the ground.
Cracks splintered outward in a jagged web, racing in the direction of Hiruzen Sarutobi!
Earth Style: Earth Dragon Bullet!
As Hiruzen leapt back to evade, his hands flew into a blur of seals.
An earthen dragon burst from the ground with a roar, halting the advancing fissures. Its ferocious head opened wide, spitting stone bullets one after another toward Tsunade!
The rest of its body surged out, jaws gaping as it lunged at her.
Tsunade's figure shifted subtly, each motion minimal yet efficient as she effortlessly dodged the barrage.
Fist-sized stone bullets, brimming with destructive force, exploded behind her, kicking up dirt and debris into the air.
Facing the dragon head-on, Tsunade didn't retreat—she advanced!
She stepped forward, raised her right arm, and with a flick of her soft, jade-like palm, slapped the massive earthen dragon's head. The entire thing shattered, sending chunks flying in every direction.
Wham—
Her feet slammed into the ground, chakra surging. Her figure became a blur of afterimages.
Before Hiruzen could finish forming his next seal, she was already beside him!
Boom—
He barely managed to cross his arms in defense before her fist landed like a wrecking ball.
His pupils contracted.
Under the monstrous, inhuman strength of her blow, Hiruzen was hurled through the air like a cannonball.
His bones creaked under the pressure, pain radiating through his arms, but he gritted his teeth and forced himself to flip midair, landing on his feet.
Hands flashing through seals again—
A-rank Genjutsu: Infinite Darkness Jutsu!
"Release!"
But the moment the illusion took shape, Tsunade casually formed a single-handed seal and burst through the genjutsu's sensory restraints with her own chakra.
Compared to the illusions cast by Yamanaka Shinno, this so-called Darkness Technique—once a real headache—was now child's play.
Tsunade rushed in again, faster than ever.
Hiruzen's face paled. He couldn't afford another head-on clash.
With no other option, he bit his finger, formed the summoning seal, and called forth his old companion—Enma the Monkey King.
"Tsunade! He's getting serious now!"
With a sharp cry, Tsunade broke into a sprint as a radiant seal burst open on her forehead.
Modified countless times with the help of Yamanaka Shinno and Kushina inside the illusionary space, the perfected Sage Art Yin Seal released its full power.
A wave of blinding light poured from her forehead, flowing through her body as Sage Chakra surged through her meridians.
Two chakra horns—shaped adorably—appeared at the sides of her forehead, and four ghostly white dragon projections spiraled around her.
Her speed exploded.
She vanished, reappearing beside Hiruzen in the blink of an eye!
Rumble—
Back in the stands, the expressions of many ninja clan members turned grim. Some elite jonin even gasped aloud.
The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, was among the most formidable in the shinobi world—his mastery of ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu near perfect. He wielded all elemental chakra natures and had long since mastered combination techniques of immense power.
None of them would last three moves against him.
And yet, Tsunade… was even stronger.
She effortlessly shattered complex jutsu. A single stomp dispersed combined techniques like smoke in the wind.
Even the famed adamantine staff—transformed from the summoned Enma and said to be indestructible—was now crying out in agony!
If not for Enma's absurd durability, Hiruzen might already be dead.
"This… this can't be happening…"
Koharu Utatane stared blankly at the battlefield, her face frozen in disbelief. Her old teammate, once seemingly invincible, was now being flung around like a rag doll.
Was this… really not a genjutsu?
"Hiruzen…"
Homura Mitokado looked utterly defeated, watching Hiruzen spit up blood for the third time. He lowered his head, a bitter expression on his face.
"You're still holding back? How typical of the Senju—always clinging to pity and mercy."
Madara Uchiha stood with arms crossed, his voice cold, though his Rinnegan eyes stayed locked on the battle.
He was impressed.
Fifty percent.
Tsunade—granddaughter of Hashirama Senju—hadn't even used half her strength yet.
And yet, that power was already enough to shatter Susanoo's defense.
So this was… the strongest kunoichi in the ninja world?
"Hahaha! That's my little Tsunade! No need to take it so seriously, it's just a spar—hahaha!"
Hashirama patted Madara's shoulder enthusiastically, only to be swatted away with a look of disdain.
"You crazy Uchiha would never understand the compassion and grace of a Hokage."
Tobirama tilted his chin with a hint of smugness, clearly proud of both Tsunade's strength and her restraint.
After all, Hiruzen was her teacher… and one of his students.
Sure, the old Hiruzen had mismanaged the village and driven a wedge between its people, but at the very least, he deserved a dignified exit.
Besides, a Sage Body—that was something only his brother had.
Tsunade's potential? It might even surpass that of Hashirama.
Back in the day, the reason he dove so deep into forbidden jutsu research was because he realized—more power meant talent and chakra were the true foundations.
With potential like this, Tsunade would definitely surpass him in the future!
Madara's expression darkened as Tobirama threw shade again. His Rinnegan flared violently in the Edo Tensei body.
Chakra surged, and it looked like a fight could break out any second.
Smack!
Hashirama casually slapped Tobirama on the back of the head, scattering the latter's head into a puff of ash and bones.
He quickly grabbed Madara's arm and forced a friendly smile.
"My little brother's a bit hot-headed. I'll give him a good talking to, promise! Don't get mad, Madara. Come on!"
"...Hmph."
Madara sneered and glanced at Yamanaka Shinno.
Seeing him silently form a hand seal and block Tobirama's resurrected mouth with Sage-style Wood Release, Madara's lip twitched into the faintest hint of amusement as he sat back down.
Sure, Shinno was the one who'd killed him, but the guy had taken out Black Zetsu cleanly. That earned his respect.
Besides, he had promised Madara a shot at fighting the Ōtsutsuki.
For now, he'd play along.
"Cough, cough…"
Kushina stood beside her boyfriend, gripping his hand tightly, her face flushed from holding back laughter.
Shinno's mouth twitched, struggling to maintain composure.
Not because of the clash between Tobirama and Madara.
But because ever since they arrived, the Nine-Tails hadn't stopped trash-talking.
Its mouth was filthier than its chakra—like its face and butt had swapped places.
Up in the stands, clan heads and department leaders all sat rigidly in place, pretending to be deaf.
No one dared look up.
Terrifying. Absolutely terrifying.
The moment Madara's chakra pressure filled the area, they couldn't even lift a finger—just sat frozen in their seats as cold sweat poured down their backs.
Nara Shikaku, watching with a neutral expression, was inwardly quite pleased with how things were turning out.
Sure, he had plenty of ways to make the Third retire quietly.
But if he wanted to maintain cohesion in Konoha long-term, pure backroom deals wouldn't be enough.
He needed overwhelming power to keep everyone in line.
Tsunade, just as he'd expected, pulled her punches. That restraint sent a message to all Konoha shinobi.
No one likes a cold, ruthless leader.
Someone powerful yet still loyal and compassionate? That kind of leader would win over even the toughest clan heads.
And thanks to Hashirama, Tobirama, and Madara's antics, Tsunade's image as a merciful and noble figure was now burned into everyone's mind.
Thanks for the help, Grandpa Madara, Grandpa Hashirama, and Grandpa Tobirama.
I'll make sure to leave a couple extra flowers at your graves later.
