The banquet lasted for quite a while before Zephyr spoke up, "There's something I need to tell everyone."
Everyone was a bit tipsy.
"Huh? What is it?"
Zephyr opened his mouth, hesitated for a long time, then finally said, "I'm leaving."
"The bathroom's to the right."
Fushiguro Megumi, with his sharp instincts, immediately sensed something was off.
"Where are you going?"
"Back to the world I came from."
"The world you came from?"
He suddenly sobered up quite a bit. "What do you mean by that?"
"I won't hide it from you anymore. I'm actually from another world."
"Huh?"
"I come from another world called Teyvat."
Lumine had traveled to many worlds, but her current home was in Teyvat.
"I came to this world with a special mission. Now that the mission is complete, it's time for me to return."
Fushiguro said, "Stop talking nonsense. How could there be another world?"
"Fushiguro, have you forgotten? The first time we met, I gave you something to eat."
"You mean… that chicken leg?"
"That wasn't just an ordinary chicken leg. It was a kind of medicinal dish, like the ones in games that restore health. Do you really think something like that exists in this world?"
Fushiguro fell silent.
Itadori Yuji looked stunned. "B-Big Sis… Are you playing us? You're not really leaving us, are you…?"
Kugisaki Nobara added, "Big Sis, you must be joking…"
Lumine shook her head. "I'm not joking. I truly appreciate everyone who's been with me on this journey… except Gojo Satoru."
"Eh? You're really gonna exclude me in such a touching moment?"
"You all don't need to be too sad. Even though I'm leaving, it's not like I'll never come back. If things go well, I'll be back in a month."
Upon hearing that, everyone let out a breath of relief. A month? Not too bad.
"Big Sis, you should've said so earlier! Just a month—maybe you'll even make it back in time for the exchange event!"
Only Fushiguro and a few of the sharper ones remained silent. _If the fastest is a month… then what's the slowest? Could she possibly never come back?_
But this wasn't the time to ask more.
Lumine said, "Gojo Satoru, you need to be extremely cautious with those special grade curses."
Itadori looked puzzled. "Which special grade curses?"
"You dummy, the curse organization Gojo-sensei mentioned last time!"
"Yeah, that one. From what I know, there are four special grade curses.
One represents humanity's fear of the earth.
One represents humanity's fear of forests.
One represents humanity's fear of humanity itself.
And one represents humanity's fear of the ocean."
"Right now, Mahito is already dead, and Jogo is severely injured. But with a curse spirit's physique, it probably won't take long for him to recover. The remaining two are also incredibly troublesome."
"One of them, the forest-type curse spirit, has a technique that can sap a person's fighting will. She also has strong abilities for concealing her presence."
"If she launches a surprise attack, no one present—aside from Gojo Satoru—would survive. You _must_ be on guard against this curse spirit."
Itadori Yuji and the others were completely shocked.
"What? That many curse spirits!?"
"They're all special grade?"
Zephyr nodded. "Yes. Every single one of them is a special grade curse."
"That's terrifying!"
Zephyr continued, "This organization stands in opposition to humanity. Their ultimate goal is to annihilate all humans and make curse spirits the rulers of this world."
"What!?" The news was so explosive that everyone was stunned.
"But standing in their way… is a mountain. That mountain is you, Gojo Satoru."
Gojo fell silent.
"They can't kill you. So, they came up with a plan—to seal you. They've already acquired a sealing-type cursed object. I forget its exact name, but it absolutely has the power to seal you."
Gojo said, "Ah, now _that's_ definitely not good news."
Zephyr added, "You don't have to worry too much. If necessary, you can borrow the artifact from Yuji."
Everyone looked confused.
"Artifact?"
"Borrow?"
"That's right. That relic boosts power by percentage. If someone weak uses it, the boost is minor. But if someone strong uses it… the power increase is terrifying."
Gojo's eyes lit up.
"I see… So _that's_ why you've been so calm, Miss Lumine. You had a backup plan."
However, Itadori Yuji looked a bit displeased.
"Eh? Lend it to Gojo-sensei? I don't really wanna do that…"
"Yuuujiii~ Please~ pretty please~~~"
Zephyr said, "Itadori, while I'm gone, work hard. Try to master Black Flash as soon as you can."
"I already did!"
"I mean mastering it so you can use it freely—at will!"
"Ugh… fine."
"Fushiguro Megumi, fix your attitude. Stop being so tsundere."
"I'm _not_ tsundere!"
"Nobara, you too. Tone it down a bit. Violent girls aren't exactly popular."
"Ugh… uuuu… I get it, Big Sis… I'll work hard to become someone like you…"
Itadori Yuji wiped the corners of his eyes and muttered, "Geez… why are _you_ crying… now you've got me wanting to cry too…"
Zephyr said, "Panda, Maki, Inumaki… it was really great getting to know you all."
"Don't make Panda cry too! That's just cruel…"
"Wishing you all the best."
"Windmill."
Zephyr couldn't help but laugh. "Windmill? Is that your way of saying 'Bon voyage'?"
"Hey, wait a second—where's Paimon? You're usually so talkative. Why are you so quiet today?"
Paimon had her back turned to everyone.
"P-Paimon not crying, okay!"
"Big Sis! And Paimon! We're gonna miss you guys!"
"Goodbye! Make sure to come back if you get the chance!"
"Safe travels!"
Amidst everyone's blessings, Zephyr tapped the transfer, and Lumine and Paimon's figures slowly dissolved into particles of light.
She smiled as she waved goodbye.
"I'll definitely come back."
…
After the teleportation, Lumine and Paimon returned to Teyvat.
To them, it felt like no time had passed at all.
When she opened her eyes, a familiar sky greeted her.
Lumine lay on the soft grass, her heart full of emotion.
"I'm back."
Paimon sobbed quietly beside her.
"Paimon, are you still crying? It's not like we're never coming back again."
"Hey, stop crying. How about I make your favorite—Sweet Madame?"
Paimon clutched her butt and burst into tears.
"Waaahhh! Paimon is not crying because of the farewell!"
"Then why are you crying?"
"Waaahhh! When we got back, Paimon accidentally landed on a hedgehog! It hurts so bad, that's why Paimon is crying!"
Lumine blinked, then burst out laughing, holding her stomach.
"Hey! Traveler! What are you laughing at?! Don't build your happiness on someone else's pain! Hurry up and pull the quills out of my butt!"
A few minutes later, Paimon lay flat on the grass, groaning.
"Uuugh, it still hurts so much…"
"Do you know where we are right now?"
"Why don't _you_ open your map and check it yourself?!"
