Thorian held Enrick back from attacking Jaden. Of course, they were merely messing around; Enrick wasn't actually angry, nor did Jaden mean any of these words.
All three of their lives were filled with constant caution, dealing with thorn-filled words of other nobles, bootlickers, and those with hidden intentions.
It was like a play, a facade they had to maintain their entire lives in front of society because of their high status. But when it was just the three of them, they did not pretend to be anything other than themselves. Just being themselves, and for people like them. It was a refreshing change.
