Axel tilted his head slightly and said menacingly, "Shall we?"
Then, with no further warning whatsoever, with a simple push of his feet, he dashed forward like a bolt of lightning, but Jaden and his army were prepared very, very much; he had instructed the 80 fortifiers to attack him the moment he moved towards them. Jaden, on that cue, also brought out his artifact sword.
He was an Aura Knight. An expert close combatant, almost unmatched in his prowess in the entirety of his section. So, how could a mere runecaster challenge him on his specialty? Of course, that doesn't mean he underestimated Axel Nomrad, oh no, quite the opposite in fact. That was the very reason why 80 of the fortifiers were standing against Axel Nomrad alongside him.
The most troublesome thing about Axel was obviously his runic weapons; all the fortifiers were there to make sure that he didn't bring out some weird artifact or relic, which does something unexpected again.
