Chapter 88 - Belhemoth Awakens

Asuna staggered, her divine aura flickering like a dying star. The "Line of Death" had pierced her--her defenses shattered not by force, but by inevitability. Versira stepped forward, her eyes glowing with crimson certainty, her voice like a blade drawn across fate.

Versira Nethrion:

(Cold, triumphant)

"...You were a symbol, Asuna. A monument to light. But even monuments crumble when their death line is struck."

She raised her hand again--this time with finality. Her fingers traced the fracture in Asuna's soul, and she struck. The line of Death severed through Asuna's essence. Not erased--destroyed. Her body collapsed, breath fleeing her lungs, her light dimming into silence.

Asuna:

(Gasping, barely audible)

"...So... this is what it feels like... to lose everything..."

Versira Nethrion:

(Laughing merciless)

"...You ruled with righteousness. I rule with truth. And the truth is---you were never enough. I will force you to remember that, 5,000 years ago wasn't my true self."

Seraphina's hands trembled slightly as she continued healing Revy, her eyes flicking toward the Battlefield where Asuna fell.

Seraphina Nyx:

(Worried)

"...Void ling... What should we do? If Versira's power keeps escalating---"

Mae:

(Cutting in, firm)

"...Don't interfere. This is the Empress's fight. ...She chose to face the Queen of all Elves knowing the risk. If we step in now, we dishonor her stand."

Void ling's gaze remained locked on the battlefield, but his voice dropped to a whisper--measured, calculating. And spoke to himself

Void ling:

(Whispering to himself)

"...She knows the Empress can't win... ans yet she still watches. That means this isn't about victory. ... it's about what comes after. What must be done when the crown falls."

Blaze Vortex:

(Whispering to himself, in seriousness)

"Void ling knows, what happens if he interfere with the battle, but rather he wants to know what will happen. What are your plans Void ling, You have to hurry up until, they collapse this world."

Meanwhile in the frozen dimension, snow swirled violently as Nia surged forward, her fists glowing with temporal energy. She clashed with Lysandra--blow for blow, fist tk fist. Each strike echoed like thunder across the mountains.

Nia:

(Gritted, fierce)

"...You're strong, Lysandra. But I've fought across time. I've seen how this ends."

Lysandra Moon:

(Smirking, cold)

"...Then you should know better than to challenge the moon in her own night."

Suddenly, Lysandra's voice deepened--resonant, ancient. She spoke a single phrase in a forgotten tongue.Nia froze mid--strike--her body paralyzed, her breath caught in her throat. Her limbs trembled as she tried to resist, but her body wouldn't obey.

Nia:

(Straining, gasping)

"...What... is this...?"

Lysandra Moon:

(Stepping forward)

"...My voice is laced with the Will of the pale of God. When I speak with intent.. even time listens."

Nia broke free from the earlier paralysis, her body trembling but her will intact. She surged forward, ready to strike---

Nia:

(Defiant, panting)

"...I won't be frozen again. I've seen too much to fail to a whisper."

Lysandra Moon:

(Calm and commanding)

"Kneel."

The moment the word left her lips, the world itself obeyed. Nia's body locked in place--her knees buckled, her limbs collapsed beneath her. Her powers flickered and vanished. Her breath caught in her throat. Lysandra Moon activated her Ultimate ability-- VOICE OF GOD."

Lysandra Moon:

(Stepping forward, voice resonant)

"...This is no spell. No illusion. My voice becomes reality to all who hear it. ...it bypasses resistance, immunity, even time itself. When I command, your body obeys. Your magic fails. Your memories vanish. Your pain becomes truth. ... I can torture you without lifting a finger. I can erase your name from your own mind. And you--can do nothing about it."

Nia's eyes widened in horror, her body trembling under the weight of the command. And then she spoke in shocked.

Nia:

(Shocked, gapsing)

"...This... this isn't power... it's tyranny..."

Lysandra Moon:

(Smiling coldly)

"...No. This is sovereignty.

Meanwhile we moved to Asuna, she lay broken, breathless, her divine form unraveling under the relentless precision of Versira's Line of Death. Her armor was shattered, her light dimmed, her body trembling with every breath.

Versira Nethrion:

(Hovering above, voice like a verdict)

"...You were a queen of light. But light flickers. And now, you fade."

Void ling and Blaze stood at the edge of the battlefield, watching in silence and analyzing it too

Blaze Vortex:

(Turning to Void ling, voice low)

"...She's not going to make it. That technique--it's not just killing her. It's undoing her. ...And we're just standing here, watching a legacy die."

Void ling's gaze remained fixed, but his senses stretched outward--beyond the battlefield, beyond the moment. He felt it--the ripple in the fabric of time--space, the fracture where Nia and Lysandra clashed in a sealed dimension.

Void ling:

(To blaze, calmly)

"...They're fighting in a temporal pocket--outside causality, where time loops and space folds. The realm is sealed from interference...but not from consequences."

Blaze Vortex:

(Nodding, eyes narrowing)

"...if that fight escalated, it could rupture the boundary between dimensions. And if that happens while Versira's unraveling Asuna..."

Void ling:

(Quietly and soft)

"...Then the multiverse won't just fracture. It will collapse."

Seraphina finished healing Revy, her hands glowing faintly as the last threads of energy settled into place. Revy remained still, her eyes closed, her breathing shallow but steady.

Mae:

(Softly, watching her friend)

"...Give her time, Seraphina. She'll be alright."

Seraphina Nyx:

(Nodding, gently)

"...Her body's stable. But her spirit... it's still returning."

Versira turned her gaze downward---towards Void ling, Blaze, Seraphina, Mae, and the others. Her voice echoed across the battlefield.

Versira Nethrion:

(Cold and commanding)

"...You watch from the sidelines like gods. But even gods bleed. Will you kneel now... or later?"

Void ling:

(Raised his head, arms crossed)

"...We don't kneel. We choose when to rise."

Suddenly, the ground trembled. Cracks split the ground. The sky pulsed with divine pressure. Asuna, broken and breathless, was rising. Her body torn, her light flickering--yet her will unyielding. The ground quake violently, cracks spiderwebbing across the battlefield as a divine pressure surged upward. Light burst from the crater where Asuna had fallen.

Her body rose slowly, bloodied but radiant, her aura no longer flickering but roaring like a star reborn, her wounds were healed instantly. Her eyes glowed with celestial fire, and in her hand, a blade formed--not forged, but carved.

Asuna:

(Voice layered, divine)

"...You thought I was finished. But I am the Empress of Universe, the Sovereign of Realms... And now, I wield Belhemoth--- the blade that cut anything, through distance, through fate itself."

She raised the blade and slashed the air--space itself split open, a rift forming instantly. Across the battlefield, a mountain in the far distance was bisected in silence, it's halves sliding apart as if time had been severed.

Void ling:

(Low and intrigued)

"...That Sword. A weapon that doesn't strike the body... but the space between. ...She's not just fighting now. She's rewriting proximity, collapsing the battlefield into her reach."

Blaze Vortex:

(Grinning, impressed)

"...She's cutting through dimensions like they're paper. That's not resurrection... that's ascension."

Mae:

(In awe and with a smile)

"...Now that's what our Empress is capable of."

Versira Nethrion:

(Shaken, Low voice)

"...That blade... it's severing the rules I command... she's not just alive. She's transcending."

Asuna raised Belhemoth, her divine blade humming with spatial distortion. The air around her fractured like glass, and with a single slash-- she cut through Versira's Line of Death. The Crimson fracture that once spelled instant annihilation ws severed mid--air unraveling like a broken thread of fate. Versira staggered.

Versira Nethrion:

(Shocked and trembling)

"...Impossible... You cut through my line... You severed death itself."

Void ling:

(Low, astonished)

"...She didn't just resist it... she unfold it. She's slicing through conceptual absolutes..."

Blaze Vortex:

(Eyes widened)

"...She's not fighting in this world anymore. She's fighting above it."

Seraphina Nyx:

(Soft and reverent)

"...She's become the blade that divides gods from mortals."

Versira Nethrion:

(Fury)

"...How dare you defy me! I am the Queen of All Elves!"

Asuna:

(Calm and divine)

"...My Power is far greater than what you have right now Versira, so face the consequences."

Meanwhile in the sealed dimension. Lysandra's eyes glowed with divine frost as she activated her Ultimate command.

Lysandra Moon:

(Voice absolute)

"Bleed."

The Voice of God surged forward---an invisible wave of command that bypassed all barriers. Nia raised her arms to block, but the command slipped through her defenses like a whisper through silence. Blood erupted from her mouth.

Lysandra Moon:

(Laughing coldly)

"...You cannot resist it. No one can. My voice is law."

Nia:

(Gasping eyes widened, whisper to herself)

"...It...it went straight through me... impossible."

Lysandra Moon:

(Raised her hand)

"Perish."

As the commander surged forward, Nia dropped to her knees--her body trembling, her aura flickering. But just as the attack was about to consume her-- Her body moved on its own. Effortless. Calm. She stood. Unshaken.

Lysandra Moon:

(Staggered back)

"...What...? You moved...? That's not possible..."

Nia's eyes glowed with a radiant, golden light. Her voice was calm, but it echoed with something ancient.

Nia:

(Serene and calm)

"...Behold the power of Phylax Agathos--- The Guardian of the Good."

Lysandra Moon:

(Whispering, shaken)

"...That name... shouldn't exist anymore... How is she...!"

THE BATTLEFIELD IS NO LONGER BOUND BY RULES. NOW IT'S SHAPED BY WILL, LEGACY, AND TRANSCENDENCE.
