Inside the estate, Penny still stared at the direction Osvaldo ran through. Her body itched to follow him, but her father's grip was iron, and the Adkins lawyers flanked her like walls.
"In their words, their master was just fine and there was really no need for her to run after him. She would just be stressing herself."
But Penny wasn't fine.
She didn't understand why they all seemed relaxed. The Osvaldo she saw didn't look fine at all. What if the overdose was working today?
What if he's going to remain like this forever? She couldn't bare to lose him. Her teeth sank into her lower lip as fear spread through her chest.
Her blue eyes met the now destroyed items on the floor and sighed. Maybe she should have accepted the gifts rather than Osvaldo destroying them all.
