Chapter 45 - Chapter 45: A Bug in Heaven's System

**Dragon**

This term has long and often always been associated with serpents in different cultures.

This is also the case in the biblical pantheon, because the father... or the unique god of this pantheon has a horror of this creature.

Why?

Why does the supreme entity of one of the pantheons known for its love and benevolence have a clear disgust or rejection of this creature?

This goes back to the error or madness of an angel, like Sanguinius.

An angel, who deceived Adam's first woman... no, not Lilith here, but Eve.

This man was known by the name of Samael and he committed this terrible sin under the disguise of a serpent.

According to the holy scriptures and today scientists recognize it, the serpent once had legs or limbs.

This gives them an appearance similar to creatures from Greek cosmology, known as drákōn or δράκων.

The Drakons are monstrous serpents from Greek mythology or cosmology, who possess enormous powers!!

They are often shown with legs as in the case of Ladon, but sometimes without.

The phenomenon that explains the disappearance of serpents' legs, according to myths and legends, goes back to Samael's sin.

He corrupted the divine masterpiece, a creature (man) who resembled him.

Man was born or created perfect under divine care, and he lived in a perfect garden created by the biblical god, towards the Middle East.

Unfortunately, Samael had ruined everything...

This pushed the divine to curse the creature that had diverted his favorite creature from its initial destiny.

Samael became an entity neither angel nor dragon in the DxD universe, but Sanguinius remembers that this curse didn't only strike the creature disguised as a serpent.

It punished all serpents of creation at once!!

A condemnation to eat sand for all eternity.

In this era within the DxD universe, Samael has the curse of the biblical pantheon's leader as a weapon.

A weapon embodying the biblical god's anger for all creatures linked to serpents closely or distantly.

Even Ophis, the dragon god, cannot escape it in the future.

An incident that the biblical god doesn't appreciate.

Unfortunately, from love comes hate.

"The system... it's indicating the birth of another draconic and angelic hybrid."

An entity composed of light and without real form observed the anomaly before him.

He doesn't appreciate this news, because Samael had even profited from his curse and suffered no real punishment to his taste.

Now, another fallen angel is going to obtain similar power?

Unacceptable.

"I must find him..."

Immediately, he commanded Michael to find the fallen angel tainted by draconic blood.

….

In a damaged room, in the bunker under the control of the AI named Cortana.

There was a man with a... mystical appearance.

He was 2.10 meters tall, with golden hair flowing down to the cold steel floor.

He possessed 4 pairs of gray wings, which despite their angelic appearance seemed fused with draconic scales.

Surprisingly, this didn't seem strange.

On the contrary, this appearance added a unique touch.

**Hot breath**

Hot air escaped from the man's lips before he finally opened his eyes.

Brilliant golden pupils with a reptilian touch, which added even more to the supernatural and inhuman air of the man? Or creature.

The entity slowly clenched its fist, one after the other.

Finally, he nodded with an excited smile.

'Ogre, you're a monster'

A cold shiver ran down Sanguinius's spine after realizing again the power of Gaia's daughter.

It's already been hours since he used Silvia's skill to assimilate the spiritual fruit and Ogre's tears.

At first, he hesitated a bit whether to assimilate it now or after absorbing his clones scattered a bit throughout the Konosuba world.

But... now, Sanguinius doesn't regret his choice.

"Scientifically, there's DNA in a creature's tear and it's common in the DxD universe to get a significant power boost via a dragon's body or blood"

However, the increase is too great!!

Sanguinius originally only had less than 40% of his overall strength, but things are different now.

He feels he could easily defeat his past self at his peak.

He's certain he's reached Ultimate class just physically.

"Not only was I able to assimilate the little DNA contained in Ogre's tear, but I was able to add that to my genome... Silvia really wasted her skill"

Yes, the DNA was in small quantity.

Precisely, in a drop of human tear, that represents a total of 10 to 100 cells.

This is equivalent to 60 to 600 picograms of DNA, which is much less DNA than in a drop of blood.

Despite everything, it was enough for Sanguinius's Chimera Anatomy skill.

He didn't gain much compared to assimilating Ogre's future deceased body, but he had enough gain to reach Ultimate class.

"However, my magical power and Holy Power are lagging behind"

He gained another pair of wings thanks to the sudden increase in his physical power, which forced the rest to follow to some extent.

Yet, this is a risky phenomenon.

'If my magic and the rest hadn't managed to keep up with the physical evolution, then...'

He would be unbalanced at best, and at worst... he would collapse on himself due to his inability to handle his new body.

A state of handicap due to poorly distributed power in the hands of an unqualified individual.

Sanguinius had a close call.

"Cortana!!!"

[Yes, master?] A holographic projection of the AI positioned itself in front of Sanguinius.

The artificial intelligence was 'surprised' by its master's nudity, but hurried to censor these areas in its memory.

"Clean this place up, I broke the room," he said, changing his hand into intimidating claws out of curiosity.

These emit intimidating pressure and energy.

'Touki, but not only.'

There was an unknown aura mixed with it.

Something that Sanguinius hasn't yet definitively identified as draconic aura.

'It's funny, my current state is a bit similar to Milim Nava...'

The result between the love of a dragon and a human, a dragonoid.

A seductive identity, but risky to adopt because of humans' collective image of dragons.

'Sometimes, confidence is both an advantage and a curse.'

While he debates whether or not he should stay in public with his "angelic" appearance.

A familiar holographic screen appeared.
