Christine woke up as she felt the sun shine on her face. She slowly blinked her eyes to adjust to the light. Usually, it would take her half an hour to get up from bed after her sleep broke as she would feel tired and lazy. Strangely enough today felt different. Her body felt so light and refreshed as though she has taken a bath in the spring of youth. As her eyes adjusted to the light Christine was alarmed at the unfamiliar environment.
" what the heck...where the hell did I fell asleep? "
As Christine looked around in the room in panic, and prepared to rush out she fell of from bed with a thump. She stared at the extremely short and chubby pair of arms and legs attached to her in disbelief, as a sudden rush of memories filled in her brain.
She had transmigrated in to the novel she read last night as the pitiful daughter of the protagonist who will die at the age of 8. Christine felt like she was at the verge of despair. Not only did she die at such a young age, she was also reborn as such a tragic character. She found it very hard to believe….after all as a person who preferred novels about children being group pampered she find it quiet hard to accept that she transmigrated as a cannon fodder with a tragic ending. After wallowing in self-pity for an hour Christine prepared herself to accept the reality and change her tragic ending. And the first step in the process was to accept that she was no longer Christine Sebastian but Tang Xinyu , a 5 year old cutie.
