Chapter 243 - Chapter 241: Respect Your Elders (and Teachers)

Jason, who was stomping over, suddenly saw Roy pull a shotgun out of thin air.

Bang!

Jason's powerful build didn't even make him flinch as he kept walking towards Roy.

A shotgun that hasn't been enhanced by Hellfire is pretty standard, but Roy didn't really want to transform right now. If the other students saw him, it could cause some serious problems.

Luckily, at that moment, Neidy activated her angelic powers, releasing several feathers made of holy light, which successfully stopped Jason in his tracks.

Jason was a creature of darkness after all, and holy light from Heaven could do some serious damage to him.

"Roy, what do we do?"

This was Neidy's first time in a fight, and she was a little nervous, not knowing what to do.

Roy thought for a moment and came up with a battle plan.

"Neidy, you provide cover from a distance, help me close in and create an opening."

"Sounds like we're playing a video game, I got this!"

Neidy seemed a little excited, and Roy had to pour some cold water on her enthusiasm.

"Neidy, reality doesn't give you a chance to save and reload. You need to prioritize your own safety!"

"I, I understand!"

Jason looked at Roy and Neidy, and figuring they might be tough to deal with, he started backing away into the shadows.

Roy immediately remembered that Jason could apparently teleport through shadows. He couldn't let him get away again, or this guy would keep leading them on a wild goose chase.

The best solution was to light up the shadows, taking away Jason's ability to teleport.

So, Roy just pulled a flashlight out of his inventory and shone it around. Jason visibly froze for a second, probably weirded out that his teleportation was interrupted.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Roy immediately charged at Jason, cursed dual daggers in hand.

The cursed dual daggers were only slightly better quality than regular daggers. They could have a surprisingly effective impact when attacking living creatures, but they weren't going to be much help against a chainsaw sword.

So, Roy didn't try to go toe-to-toe with Jason. Instead, he used his footwork to dodge Jason's attacks, circling around to his side.

After the series of probes earlier, Roy had a pretty good idea of Jason's physical stats.

This guy's strength was probably about the same as Roy's normal strength, but his constitution was definitely much higher.

The fact that Roy's chainsaw sword attack had gotten stuck in Jason's body earlier was telling. That kind of weapon is specifically designed for cutting through high-strength flesh. Even Roy himself might not be able to withstand a chainsaw sword.

Fortunately, Jason's agility was pretty average, even worse than most regular people. This was probably the key reason why the main characters in the movies were able to escape Jason.

The "law of the barrel" might be a classic concept in management, but it applies to other things too, like this fight.

Because Jason wasn't agile enough, he was at a complete disadvantage in close combat. Roy could toy with him like a monkey, constantly stabbing him with the cursed dual daggers.

Plus, Neidy was occasionally interrupting Jason's attacks with her holy light feathers from a distance.

Even our hundred-kill teenage slasher couldn't take that kind of beating!

In an extremely disadvantageous situation, Jason seemed to realize that things weren't going his way. He suddenly took two of Roy's attacks head-on, then slammed into the wall, actually smashing a human-shaped hole in the wooden vacation home wall and running outside.

Roy really hadn't expected Jason to pull that. He had no choice but to throw out his cursed hair, trying to ensnare Jason, but Jason quickly cut it off with his chainsaw sword.

Just at that moment, other classmates, mostly guys and male teachers, came rushing over after hearing the commotion.

When they saw Jason wearing a hockey mask and with a hulking figure, everyone jumped, especially since Jason was covered in black goo.

This black goo was actually from Roy's cursed dagger attacks. It looked a lot like thick oil and was really disgusting.

"What happened? Who are you?"

Matt Sanchez, relying on the few years of training he had, walked closer to Jason, wanting to question him.

This guy hadn't realized the seriousness of the situation yet. He probably hadn't run into the young couple who had fled. But Jason had already made his move.

"Everyone, scatter!"

Unfortunately, Roy's warning came too late. The chainsaw sword in Jason's hand easily bisected Matt Sanchez at the waist. His lower half fell to the ground, and it was clear he wasn't going to make it.

"Aaaaaah!"

Matt Sanchez's scream finally woke everyone else up. They screamed and scattered in all directions, the scene a complete mess.

Damn it! Someone actually died!

Jason turned his head to look at Roy, then disappeared into the darkness once more.

Roy, with a grim expression, reactivated the effect of the hunter hound ring, continuing to track Jason's location.

"Neidy, don't just stand there, hurry up and follow me!"

Neidy was completely shocked by seeing Matt cut in half, and she froze for a moment.

"Oh, Roy, aren't we going to help Mr. Sanchez?"

"Neidy, sometimes we have to make these kinds of choices! If we stay here, it could put other people in danger! Besides, Mr. Sanchez is probably beyond saving."

Some people were still screaming in agony, but there was really no way to help them.

Unless Elizabeth was willing to step in, but she was the Demon Queen, not an angel. There was no way she would just randomly save people.

Roy couldn't worry about the unlucky gym teacher anymore. The most important thing now was to keep tracking Jason.

Looking at the direction the hellhound's phantom was running, Roy frowned deeply. It looked like it was heading back towards his vacation home. Could this guy have gone back there?

Just as he was thinking this, Roy heard Ashley and Nancy scream.

Could something have happened?

Roy instantly picked up his pace and saw Jason being blasted out of his cabin like a cannonball, flying off somewhere he couldn't see.

Through the hole he'd been thrown out of, Roy could see Elizabeth with a dark expression. It looked like the beautiful teacher had woken up from her blissful state.

The Demon Queen glanced at Roy.

"Little Roy, get over here!"

Uh oh, was Elizabeth still mad about him defeating her earlier with those dark humor jokes?

Roy walked towards Elizabeth somewhat awkwardly.

"Teacher Elizabeth, what's wrong?"

"Little Roy, aren't you supposed to be pretty capable? Why can't you even handle a little undead killer?"

To be honest, Jason's combat power was indeed strong. His strength and constitution were both higher than Roy's, but it wasn't like there was no way to deal with him.

The problem was that Roy couldn't go all out. The Crystal Lake resort was not only full of other students, but it also had surveillance cameras everywhere. If Roy revealed too much of his power, it could attract even bigger trouble.

After Roy explained his concerns, Elizabeth's expression softened slightly.

"I'll take care of those surveillance cameras, and I'll modify everyone else's memories afterward. You can go all out without worry! As for our little score, we'll settle that later!"

Elizabeth deliberately lowered her voice for the last sentence so the other girls wouldn't hear, saving Roy some face.

Roy's heart skipped a beat when he heard that.

Was the Demon Queen angry?

But just now, Elizabeth's expression had clearly been one of great pleasure, and she had even... well, almost made a noise that the four girls could have noticed.

Roy guessed that the Demon Queen was probably just a little embarrassed and wanted to find an excuse for revenge.

In this kind of situation, the best choice was to stall. As long as he could stall until Elizabeth cooled down, everything would be fine.

So, Roy immediately put on an obedient demeanor.

"Leave it to me! I'll definitely teach that guy a lesson!"

With that, Roy quickly fled the vacation home.

"Roy, wait for me!"

Neidy still followed Roy out, leaving the few people in the vacation home behind.

Ashley and Nancy were still a little shaken. Even though they had been through some things, they were still just ordinary people after all.

Jennifer, on the other hand, looked at Elizabeth's face with a thoughtful expression.

"Student Jennifer, why are you looking at me like that?"

Elizabeth felt Jennifer's undisguised gaze and smiled.

"Teacher Elizabeth, can you tell me your real identity?"

Jennifer's tone was still quite polite. After all, even Roy vaguely showed respect for Elizabeth, so there was no way she would be rude to her.

This was probably Jennifer's cleverness. Although this girl wasn't as intelligent as Neidy, she always knew how to handle social situations perfectly, never causing offense.

Elizabeth had a pretty good impression of Jennifer.

"You want to know my identity? Are you sure? Sometimes knowing too much isn't a good thing!"

Elizabeth's words made Jennifer's heart skip a beat. She quickly turned her head away nonchalantly.

"It's okay if Teacher Elizabeth doesn't want to say. It's not like I absolutely need to know this secret."

Elizabeth nodded in satisfaction.

"That's a wise choice! A girl like you can help Roy stabilize things in the rear, right? Alright, enough small talk, let's get down to business!"

As she spoke, Elizabeth snapped her fingers.

In an instant, Jennifer felt some kind of invisible ripple spread out from Elizabeth, and then she felt like the world around her had changed.

Ashley and Nancy next to her didn't seem to notice anything unusual at all. Their levels were just too low.

Even Jennifer had only been able to perceive it after completing the bloodline fusion ritual and having her life form elevated.

Elizabeth had only subtly displayed a bit of her power, but it made Jennifer deeply feel the enormous gap between them, like a bottomless abyss.

Jennifer secretly reminded herself that she and Neidy needed to be even more respectful towards Teacher Elizabeth in the future.

No other reason, just pure respect for teachers. Jennifer wouldn't be like a bad student like Roy, constantly talking back to teachers.

Meanwhile, Roy was tracking Jason, who had been blasted away by Elizabeth.

Elizabeth must have been really angry just now. She had actually blasted Jason a full kilometer away, from the vacation home to the shore of Crystal Lake.

This also showed Roy the power of a Demon Lord level being. It was terrifying!

He had to admit, Roy in his normal state couldn't even make Jason budge, but Elizabeth could send him flying a kilometer.

Perhaps that blow was too powerful. By the time Roy found Jason, the guy was just getting up.

Probably seeing that only Roy had come after him, Jason didn't retreat this time and charged directly at Roy.

"That's what I'm talking about!"

Roy instantly transformed into his demon form.

Jason was probably a little over two meters tall, about half a head taller than Roy's 1.9 meters. But when Roy transformed into a demon, Jason's size was like that of a child in front of Roy.

Jason, a man of few words and even fewer fears, fearlessly swung Roy's chainsaw sword at him.

Being big had its disadvantages. For example, even though Roy's agility was still very high, it became harder to dodge Jason's attacks.

But why would Roy, who had just gained a temporary +20 to all physical attributes, need to dodge Jason's attacks?

"Come here, you!"

Roy was just about to take back his weapon when he suddenly stepped on something and his foot slipped.

He cursed inwardly, knowing that the Grim Reaper's power was at play again.

In the past two months, because of the Grim Reaper's attention, Roy's feet had become slipperier than Elizabeth's old shoulders. So, as soon as his foot slipped, Roy knew something bad was about to happen.

Elizabeth: I suggest you choose your words carefully!

Sure enough, after Roy's foot slipped, he fell forward, sliding right in front of Jason.

At this moment, Jason just needed to swing the chainsaw sword down to hit Roy's neck. It was practically handing his head to him on a platter.

Damn it!

Fear Domain, activate!

Desire Domain, activate!

Roy directly activated both domains, trying to control Jason.

However, perhaps Roy's current strength wasn't enough, or maybe as a desireless and fearless undead being, Jason was completely unaffected by these two emotional controls.

Helpless, Roy could only rely on the powerful flexibility provided by Selina Kyle's athletic skills. While lying on the ground, he twisted his hand behind his head in a reverse joint lock to block the chainsaw sword.

This might lead to his entire hand being ripped off, but Roy didn't have time to worry about that!

Zzzzz—

The chainsaw sword cut into Roy's palm, like cutting through a steel plate, and blood splattered everywhere.

Roy was starting to regret rushing ahead and leaving Neidy behind. Otherwise, with Neidy providing ranged support, even if the Grim Reaper's attention had an effect, he wouldn't be in such a passive position.

Luckily, Roy still had a trump card he hadn't used.

First, he invested 30 points of mental attribute to create a soul double with average physical stats of 30 to sneak attack Jason from behind.

However, 30 points of strength attribute wasn't enough to shake Jason's body. It was only through the soul double's inherent defense penetration that it could inflict some damage.

So, Roy then used Dark Touch. Two tentacles made of dark energy successfully bound Jason's hands, freeing Roy from his suppressed state.

After standing up, Roy found that his hands, which he had used to block the chainsaw sword, had been cut in half. Although his demon physique could allow his palms to return to normal, the anger in his heart was already burning fiercely.

He had to remember that the last person who could beat him up this badly was Michael, but everyone knew what happened to Michael. Roy had sent him straight back to Heaven.

Looking at Jason in front of him, Roy revealed a ferocious smile.

"Now it's my turn!"
