The music had faded. Merchants were packing up.
Here and there, a few drunk people still laughed loudly, stumbling between stalls.
Elysia half-dragged, half-supported Kael as they returned from the deeper section of the festival.
Kael groaned, lowering his head.
"Elysia—wait—I'm gonna—"
He didn't finish.
He vomited directly into the drain beside the road.
Elysia sighed sharply, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Disgusting. And you said you could handle just one more drink."
Kael tried to speak. "That wine… lied to me…"
He vomited again.
Elysia looked away, trying to ignore the acidic smell. "Honestly, Kael…"
"At this time while i am fighting with this stupid demon"
"You humans celebrate loudly. The noise is… irritating." Dakin said.
Elysia turned instantly, pushing Kael behind her.
He gave a thin smile. "I was promised entertainment."
Kael tried to lift his head. "Oi—who are you calling—hic—entertain—"
He vomited again.
Dakin laughed softly. "How pitiful."
