Chapter 70 - Chapter 70: Celestia

Dante: "Sono chi no unmei, Ho, hoooooo, hoho, tu tun, turu turu."

Trini: "What are you singing?"

Dante: "To be honest, I have no idea. It's just been on my mind for a while."

I was bored while piloting the flying boat, so I started singing while I wasted energy trying to make the little boat move the way I wanted.

Sulli: "You should get us a musician for the boat or have someone learn to sing."

Dante: "They're telling me I can't sing."

Everyone: "Yes."

I stayed quiet; no one appreciates what I do. I should jump off the boat and drown.

Isis: "You're too old, Dante, to be depressed with these little things; he's not even 30 anymore."

Dante: "I'm not that old either; I'm only 25. Trini is the one who's old; she was born in the Ice Age."

And at that moment, I felt a blunt object hit my head, knocking me half unconscious. In the process, I let go of the boat's handlebars, causing it to plummet into the water.

I couldn't do anything since I wasn't conscious. I heard some screams, but I had no idea what they were saying. I only felt the boat fall into the water, and I, too, felt myself sink.

I felt myself sinking deeper and deeper until I lost consciousness.

...

Suddenly, I woke up and saw Isis standing in front of me, using the wind to dry me off.

Isis: "You woke up; it's about time," she said, stopping her actions and leaving.

I looked around, only to see Trini beside me, wet and very quiet. Sulli was taking off her clothes to wring out the water. And Arthur was lying on the floor, super tired and exhausted. The only one who hadn't suffered at all was Isis, who had Hun on her shoulder.

No one said anything; we just sat in an awkward silence.

Trini: "I'm sorry." I heard her words, but they didn't register, as it was the first time since we met that she apologized to me; it's almost always the other way around. "No matter what you said, I shouldn't have thrown the gun at your head; that's why we lost the boat and are stranded."

Dante: "It's okay, we just need to get it out and that's it. Don't blame yourself so much." I could get it out with the system, but I wouldn't have an explanation for performing such a miracle.

I feel like eating a fruit with storage power, but that one's already consumed. I could also have the Gate of Babylon and call it a Devil Fruit, but that thing costs like 1,000,000,000,000 LP, points I don't have. That thing should be cheaper since it comes empty.

I saw how Trini's eyes were a little teary, so I sat down next to her and comforted her. I grabbed her hair and began to gently ruffle it.

Dante: "I already told you it's not that bad. We can spend a few days on this island peacefully. I'll call someone to help us, so don't cry."

She just nodded, so I let go of her and stood up to get my den den mushi.

I had three guys I could call; actually, there were four, but Tritoma wasn't available. A few days ago, the Kuja pirates were captured by the marines, more specifically, by Akainu. The veterans stayed behind fighting to save the young ones, and Tritoma was among them. And of the veterans, only two survived, and Tritoma wasn't among them.

(Note: I'll explain my reasons for this decision at the end.)

This forced Boa to take over as queen of Amazon Lily and, by default, captain of the Kuja pirates.

I haven't had enough time to go there, not to mention we're in the New World and the island is in Paradise. Also, I want to check on Luna; I haven't seen her in years.

Excluding her, we have the marines, whom I don't want to do any favors for, so they're out of the question. We also have Big Mom's pirates; I have Pekoms' number, and I could call him, but I don't want them to know where I am, so that's out. Lastly, and I think this is the one I'll take, the Whitebeard Pirates. But there's a problem with them.

*Flashback*

Guru guru, guru guru

Dante: "Hey, Marcos?"

Marcos: "Yes, Dante, it's been a while."

Dante: "It's only been a few months; it's not that big a deal, what do you need?"

Marcos: "I need you to come alone to a certain place; Dad will be waiting for you..."

clank

The sound of the den den mushi hanging up, more specifically, me hanging up, was heard.

Guru guru, guru guru

I looked at the den den mushi and left the room without looking back; they already made me go there to extort me. This isn't an emergency, so I wasn't going to follow their nonsense.

*End of flashback*

It'll be a good idea to call them. Well, that's all we have left. So I dialed and waited. I only had to wait a few seconds before they answered.

Marcos: "The very important man is answering now. He's calling us. I hope the world doesn't get destroyed because of this."

Dante: "Hey, your call wasn't that important, so don't mess with it."

Marcos: "It was important, since it included her."

Dante: "And who is she?"

Marcos: "You know what? It doesn't matter; it doesn't take away from the fact that we need you to come."

Dante: "I have bad news for you. Our ship sank, so we need someone to come and bring a boat to recover it." "If they do, I'll go to where you were asking."

A sigh was heard on the other end of the call.

Marcos: "Okay, send the address, I'll send someone to help you, and they'll take you where you need to go. We'll be waiting for you, and you'd better come if you don't want Dad to chase you down, capture you, and tie you to the bow of the Moby Dick for the rest of your days."

And with that, he hung up.

...

I watched as they pulled the Skíðblaðnir from the depths of the sea; it was all wet, but it didn't look in bad condition.

Dante: "Thank you very much, Namur; I owe you one."

Namur: "No problem."

In the end, Marcos called Namur, a fishman commander of the Eighth Division, to come help load the ship.

The two of us threw ourselves into the sea to tie the Skíðblaðnir up and then pull it up with some pulleys.

As we moved the ship to the shore, Namur gave me an Eternal Pose, which had the name Sphinx.

Namur: "That's where you have to go." And with that, he left on his ship.

I just watched the guy leave and then looked at the Eternal Pose.

Isis: "Sphinx? Where is that?"

Dante: "I have no idea."

...

After about six days, we finally arrived at Sphinx.

Trini: "Moby Dick's on there."

Isis: "How many days do you think you've been here?"

Arthur: "I think you've been here since Dante called you."

Sulli: "I bet it's since Marco first called Dante and he hung up on him."

Dante: "Calm down, we're almost there," I said to stop their nonsense. When things aren't serious, you can make a fool of yourself all you want, but not now.

We were almost at the island when I felt something approaching us. It was rising in the air at high speed.

Trini: "Shit, jump off the ship NOW!" She said, her eyes wide open, ready to jump.

And boy, did what she was saying make sense, as I saw Whitebeard coming full speed ahead, leaping with his spear towards us.

I just clicked my tongue, grabbed the Fusion Sword, and got ready; I wasn't going to let them destroy that ship, you crazy old man.

Everyone had already jumped, even Arthur, who was likely to fall into the water. But I didn't pay much attention.

I saw him using Haki and his Devil Fruit, ready to attack. Right now, I'm wondering if I would have eaten the Devil Fruit Ares offered me at the time, despite all the help he would have given me.

Whitebeard: "You're finally showing up, brat; this will train you to ignore your elders."

Dante: "And if you'd rather go bother your children, they'll have time for your nonsense." I think my words weren't the right ones, since I saw that he got even angrier.

And so the clash of weapons happened. The contact of the weapons cracked in an instant. I felt the vibrations throughout my body, not to mention one of the cracks in the air that pierced my chest.

I felt the entire area reverberate at an unimaginable speed, nearly shattering it; if it weren't for Haki, I'd no longer have a lung or liver.

The ship lurched downward; the energy I'd invested in it to keep the ship in the air began to rapidly deplete.

I saw Whitebeard's surprise at withstanding all that damage, along with his strength.

Dante: "I'm not as weak as I used to be, Grandpa." I said, blood gushing out of my mouth.

I couldn't help but mock him, only for him to release a hand and, with strength, Haki, and his fruit, strike the air, shaking the entire place in my direction.

If it had been a single crack before, now there were five cracks running through my body. This weakened my strength as I tried to resist the power of the Tremor Fruit.

Thanks to this, Whitebeard managed to deflect my attack, leaving me with a large opening, which he immediately used.

And with a blow to my side, with Haki, Devil Fruit, a little butt rub, everything, he sent me flying into the water. I felt everything in my body being destroyed.

And the moment I hit the water, I lost consciousness.

...

A constant pain throbbed across the left side of my chest, causing me to wake up with a start.

Dante: "AAAAH!" I let out a small cry amid the pain. I covered the wound as if it were bleeding but only covered it with bandages that were turning a little red.

He broke several of my ribs and injured my lung, kidney, and stomach, and that's all I can tell; I could have more internal damage without knowing it.

At that moment, what happened next crossed my mind, and then I thought about where I was.

I looked around, seeing a rather nice room, a closet, a blood pressure monitor, a young woman staring at me with stars in her eyes, and a basket of fruit.

Dante: "..."

A young woman staring at me with stars in her eyes. I looked back at the woman in front of me, whom I hadn't noticed.

She had white hair, golden yellow eyes, and looked to be about 20 years old. She just looked at me with admiration, and that made me a little uncomfortable. She changed her gaze when she saw my wound reopening and bleeding again.

???: "You're bleeding; we need to change the bandages," she said, taking new bandages out of a drawer. She sat down next to me and began removing the bandages; she groped my body a little along the way.

I just let her do it, since I didn't know who she was, and she was helping me out.

???: "Good as new," she said, throwing the bandages into a trash can and sitting back down.

Dante: "Thanks a lot, huh?"

???: "Celestia, my name is Celestia."

Dante: "Oh, so you were Celestia. I thought the books I signed were for Whitebeard and Celestia is a nickname."

Celestia: "No, Father, he made that for me, since I'm your biggest fan, both of the great hero Dante and the magnificent short story and novel writer Dante."

Dante: "You're also a pirate; it's strange that I've never seen you in anything." She just laughed at me.

Celestia: "I'm not a pirate; I'm a botanist. I also know first aid; in fact, I learned it today just so I could take care of you."

I ignored the last thing she said for a bit, focusing on the first.

Dante: "But you called him 'father.'" Are they on this island like the pirates who call Whitebeard 'father' or something?"

Celestia: "Hee hee hee, it's not even close. I call him 'father' because he's literally my father. I was born when my father's fluids mixed in my mother's womb, and that's how I came out."

Dante: "Wait, so you're a legitimate daughter by the blood of Whitebeard."

Celestia: "Bingo," she said, snapping her fingers and making a shooting gesture.

I was shocked by such a revelation. It never occurred to me that Whitebeard had royal offspring.

Celestia: "True, they told me to tell the others when you woke up," she said, standing up and straightening her long skirt. "I'll be back; wait here." And winking at me, she left the room.

I watched as he left the room to be alone; well, I have no choice but to stand and watch the house while he's gone.

And so I stood; it hurt, but it wasn't unbearable, so I could walk, albeit a little slowly.

I left the room and saw that everything was tidy and well. I didn't feel anyone in the house, so it was just the two of us.

I looked around the room more closely, but I didn't see any shelves with my signed books, and that made me curious, so I started looking.

Out of nowhere, I felt like entering a specific room, and the moment I entered, I felt a primal fear.

The room was full of photos of me. I saw the ones they'd taken of me, the ones I'm in the newspaper in, and others I never knew had been taken. In almost every photo, I had hearts on my face. There were some edited so that I was with Celestia by my side. They'd also written in red the phrases "Dante and Celestia forever," "Dante mine forever," or "mine, mine, and only mine."

In the middle of it all, there were books on a heart-shaped shelf, and everything was covered in hearts.

I just left the room quietly, closed the door, and went back to bed as if nothing had happened.

After a while, everyone arrived, and Marcos also came to check on me. When we spoke, they were very vague about what was happening, but what I understood was that the ship had been superficially damaged by Whitebeard's fruit.

After that, everyone left except Marcos, who smiled until there was no one left to talk to seriously.

Marcos: "You haven't done anything to her, have you?"

Dante: "No, as far as I know, Celestia could have done something to me while I was asleep."

Marcos: "Do you already know what...?"

Dante: "That she's the old man's blood daughter, yes, she told me." I saw him massage the bridge of his nose in frustration.

Marcos: "Look, Father, he's kept her away from all this piracy, and her very existence is a big secret. Thanks to this, Father has spoiled her a bit, so she tends to do what she wants no matter what we tell her. If she could, she'd go out to sea alone to achieve her goals. I'd ask you to keep it a secret for the sake of our alliance, and also, do it for her; she's your biggest fan."

Yes, I noticed it a lot, but instead of seeing her as a big fan, I see her as a yandere.

Dante: "If it's not a problem, I'll keep it a secret." He nodded and stood up.

Marcos: "I recommend you don't do anything to her; Dad is very jealous of her, so no one, and I mean no one, can touch her, so if you don't want trouble, don't do anything to her." And with that, he left. Leave me alone in the room.

I remained processing everything he said until the door opened again. Celestia peeked out from there, holding a knife.

Celestia: "Tell me, Dante, did you see that room even though I asked you to stay in bed?"

Dante: "No, how do you think?"

Celestia: "You're lying," she said in a more serious and slightly hoarse voice. "I know how everything is positioned in that room, and I know someone opened it; only you were here, so it could only be you who did it." And with that, he launched himself at me, hovering on top of me, still holding the knife.

Dante: "Don't do anything to me. I'm still hurt. You wouldn't hurt a sick person."

Celestia: "Calm down. I would never dare hurt you. I'm just going to leave a few marks so you don't lie to me again." She said in the most tender voice I've ever heard.

Dante: "HELP!!" I screamed in a high-pitched voice to the heavens.

...

I was walking along the beach to check on the Skíðblaðnir, next to Celestia, almost like a shadow. It reminded me of when I was at Whole Cake with Galette.

Near the boat was Arthur, wearing sunglasses and drinking juice straight from a coconut, sitting in a beach chair.

Arthur: "Here comes Dante, who can fight great monsters but can't stand up to a woman." He said mockingly.

Dante: "Shut up, or do you want me to tie you up with a rope outside the boat when we leave here?"

And with that, he immediately fell silent.

Dante: "I see the damage isn't as much as I expected, considering how much force the old man exerted."

Arthur: "You tanked almost all the damage, so the ship barely suffered. The bad thing is that Whitebeard brought very few people here, so he didn't bring any carpenters; besides, the one on this island doesn't have the materials to do it."

Dante: "Yeah, don't worry, I can do it myself." With that, I climbed onto the ship, placed my hand on the lever I used as a rudder, and used my energy. Little by little, the ship began to repair itself, leaving Celeste impressed and Arthur speechless.

Arthur: "But how?"

Dante: "Magic." and with that, I left, leaving him hanging, followed by Celestia.

...

It was already nighttime, and we were all celebrating and drinking—everyone except me.

Whitebeard: "Gurararara."

Arthur: "Gurararara."

This is what Whitebeard and Arthur looked like together, laughing and drinking side by side.

Trini and Sulli were chatting about things; I have no idea what they were talking about, and I don't get involved. Isis was talking to Marcos; he was showing her his Devil Fruit, since his entire hand had transformed into a light blue, almost sky-blue, fire wing.

I was there, eating something resembling Mexican food and a pineapple juice, with Celestia glued to my arm.

Whitebeard: "Gurarara, brat, you better not touch a single hair of my princess's, or else I'll put you through hell. She must be a virgin until she dies."

Celestia: "But Dad," she said, standing up abruptly. "I'm already grown up. I want to start a family, have children, and be happy."

Whitebeard: "But you're already happy. You have me, and you don't need any men in your life."

Celestia: "Boo, Dad, I hate you. I hate you so much," she said, puffing out her cheeks like a squirrel, and walked home with heavy steps.

Whitebeard looked as if he'd just received the worst news of his life, as if his favorite dog had been killed.

Sulli: "Hey, Dante, when are we leaving here?" he said, approaching me.

Dante: "First thing tomorrow morning, we'll leave before something bad happens to me here."

Sulli: "Come on, don't overreact," he said. I just looked at him as if it were a bad joke, to which he just remained silent and left.

I feel like if I stay here, something very bad will happen to me. And it all revolves around father and daughter.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi, everyone.

Regarding Tritoma, I'll be honest, I didn't know what to do with her, since there's that bullshit theory, and if it turns out to be true, I'd have to replace the character with someone else, and that's lazy.

I didn't know how to get her out of all this so that Hancock would become empress and so that when she goes out to sea she wouldn't chase after Dante, since, based on how I wrote her, she would.

I just hope she understands. I had planned to do something else with the character, but due to circumstances beyond my control, I chose this instead. There'll still be a void, so I don't know whether to fill it or fill another character like Hancock herself, another character who exists, or invent another one. Afterwards, I'll most likely come up with something.

Well, that's it. I hope you liked this chapter; Honestly, I kind of reread it and it was kind of weird, but it's kind of necessary for what I'm planning for the future, because if it weren't like that, I wouldn't have written it at all.
