"Mmmph! Mmmph! Mmmph!"
Stelle was tightly bound, wriggling in the back seat.
March 7th sat beside her, keeping watch.
"Boss, are you sure it's okay to tie up your sister like this?"
"It's fine. She really needs to see a psychologist. Even for someone abstract, there should be limits! She's not Scott, after all."
"I noticed they're building some huge bridge at the Film Interactive City recently? The scale is incredible.
By the way, why did Uncle Yang get hospitalized?"
"Old Yang?" A cold sweat dripped down Su Chen's forehead. "You know how he is—
he's just the type to overwork himself. We're just here to visit him, and take Stelle to see a psychologist!"
——
Soon.
The three arrived at the entrance of a private hospital. After simply purchasing the standard visitation gifts fruit and flowers they split up.
March 7th took Stelle to check in with the psychologist, while Su Chen went alone to visit Welt Yang.
Su Chen walked slowly, searching for the room number so focused that he bumped headfirst into a red-haired woman.
"Sorry, sorry!" Su Chen hurriedly apologized, but when he saw her face, he nearly screamed.
Fortunately, he'd learned his lesson and wouldn't be as rude as when he first met Firefly.
"No problem!" The red-haired woman studied Su Chen carefully. "Huh? Are you Su Chen?"
Maintaining an awkward smile, Su Chen looked at the crimson-eyed, crimson-haired woman before him.
"Yes, yes."
"I'm Tesla. Joachim (another name for Welt Yang) is my husband."
Su Chen quickly nodded. "I can tell, I can tell! I heard he had appendicitis, so I came to visit."
"Sigh!" Tesla suddenly heaved a heavy sigh.
Su Chen's heart clenched. Was this about to take a dark turn? Isn't he supposed to be the "Yang Sit-Ups" (Undying Yang)?
Before Su Chen could speak, Tesla continued, "He was supposed to have surgery today,
but his doctor canceled last minute.
You know appendicitis isn't life-threatening, but the pain is unbearable!
So I was just about to demand answers from the hospital when can he get the surgery?
He hasn't even had a sip of water all day."
As she spoke, Tesla glanced distressedly in Welt Yang's direction.
"I understand. Since surgery requires anesthesia, patients usually can't eat beforehand to avoid vomiting during the procedure.
But this is really unacceptable! Even for a private hospital, this is too much!"
Su Chen clenched his fists.
Welt Yang was his employee.
Did they think they could just ignore him like this?
Bullying his staff was absolutely unforgivable.
"Actually, no!" Tesla interrupted Su Chen's thoughts. "They assigned a different doctor, but Joachim... doesn't seem willing."
"Huh? Unwilling?"
"Look, here he comes!" Tesla walked past Su Chen.
Su Chen turned around—
and froze on the spot.
The newcomer had golden hair and emerald eyes, wore a white coat, and had his hands in his pockets.
His sharp gaze swept over Su Chen before landing on Tesla.
"Mr. Yang still refuses?"
"Dr. Luocha, I tried to persuade him, but I don't know why. Even with anti-inflammatory IVs, he's still in pain.
Yet he still won't agree."
Luocha shook his head helplessly. "He's just overworked. What kind of heartless boss piles so much on their employees?"
Su Chen's eye twitched, his fists itching to throw a punch—
but then it hit him.
This guy wouldn't happen to be Luocha Apocalypse, would he?
"Sigh!" Luocha patted his chest.
"What can I say? It's just an appendectomy! But he still has me! I can absolutely be his surgeon, can't I? Just like I treat all my other patients."
"Confirmed! He's definitely Luocha Apocalypse!" Su Chen stayed silent, muttering internally.
Now he understood why Welt Yang refused to let Luocha operate—
probably some deeply ingrained DNA memory kicking in.
——
Meanwhile, elsewhere.
March 7th dragged and pulled with all her might, finally bringing Stelle to the door of the psychotherapy room.
"Stelle, can you stop being so stubborn? The boss just wants you to get checked out. If it helps, great. If not, no big deal!"
"I'm not sick! Why see a psychologist? Looking down on me, the 'Trash King' of Shanghai?"
"Sigh!" March 7th desperately wished she could trade places with Su Chen. She was at her wit's end. "Alright, alright. I asked the front desk nurse earlier.
She said this psychologist isn't just highly skilled she's also incredibly beautiful. Don't you want to at least take a look?"
"How beautiful could she be? Hmph! I'm not going in!"
Suddenly, the door to the psychotherapy room swung open. A woman with silver-gray hair stood there, legs crossed, leaning against the doorframe, holding a few tarot cards.
"May I ask... who wishes to be 'treated'?"
"Whoosh!"
A gust of wind later, Stelle was already lying peacefully on the couch. "Yes, doctor! I wish to be 'treated'!"
March 7th facepalmed. "Can I pretend I don't know her? Boss, save me!"
Soon after.
The door to the psychotherapy room slowly closed, leaving only Stelle and the psychologist inside.
...
"Let me introduce myself. I'm Black Swan. As you can see, I'm a psychotherapist,
a hypnotist, and I also practice divination.
You could say... I most enjoy being called the 'Master of Memories'!"
