The next day, Christopher went to work, and Janice was playing with Nino at home. Just as she was enjoying herself, her phone rang and she picked it up. "Janice, come home."
Hearing the familiar voice, Janice was stunned. She didn't notice that it was her father calling.
"No need. Just tell me what you have to say on the phone."
Malcolm hesitated for a moment and said, "Janice, I know I didn't do well by you before, but we are still father and daughter. There should be no enmity between us. You have been angry for so long. It's time to let it go."
Janice was not in the mood to argue. She simply said, "Get to the point."
Malcolm then said, "Here's the thing. Your aunt has been searching for a partner for Vanessa recently. Can you see if there's any suitable person among Christopher's friends? Can you introduce him to her?"
Janice frowned. She knew exactly what kind of person Vanessa was.
"Introduce Christopher's friend to Vanessa?"
She was not going to be so evil.
