Janice said huffily, "It's your credit. I don't want to claim it as my own."
Christopher smiled and reminded her.
"Don't be too late. Call me when you're done. I'll pick you up."
Before Janice could say that there was no need, Christopher hung up the phone.
She frowned and decided to finish her work first.
After Christopher hung up, he checked the time. It was not even 7pm. Janice was not at home, and it was too early for him to go back, so he called James.
"Come out and have a drink with me."
Twenty minutes later, the two of them met at Daniel's Club.
James seemed to be in a bad mood. As soon as he sat down, he complained non-stop.
Christopher didn't say anything and only listened as James complained about his family.
He knew that James was a hot-tempered and straightforward person.
James stopped ranting when he realized Christopher looked somber. He asked, "What's wrong with you? Why do you look worried?"
