~Sabrina's POV
I stared at the door after Alex slammed it shut behind him, the echo still ringing in my ears. I couldn't move for a second. My chest felt tight, like someone had wrapped a wire around my ribs and started pulling.
"He really just did that," I muttered, more to myself than anyone.
I stood there in the middle of his living room, frozen, heart thudding in disbelief. Alex. My Alex.
Gone. All of it. For what? A fragile little weakling like Bella.
"This can't be happening," I said out loud, pacing. My heels clicked against the marble floor. I yanked my purse from the couch and tossed it on the table.
"This is my place too!" I yelled to the empty penthouse. "I made this place feel like a home, not her!"
