Akamir thought before he fully turned towards…him.
The terrified prince frozen in place.
Akamir smiled genuinely. "Lucien."
Lucien stumbled back a step falling down the thorne, his face pale and drenched in sweat.
"You… you're a monster," he whispered.
Akamir tilted his head slightly, the blood-soaked spear still in hand.
"You're not wrong," he said, calm as ever. "But I warned you, didn't I?"
Lucien reached for the sword at his side but fumbled with the hilt.
His fingers trembled so badly, he couldn't even draw it.
Akamir walked toward him, slow and steady, each step echoing in the now-silent throne room.
"You know," Akamir said, tapping the end of the spear lightly on the floor, "I never had any interest in you."
Lucien finally drew his sword, pointing it forward, though his arms were shaking. "D-Don't come any closer!"
Akamir ignored him completely.
