Chapter 95 - Chapter 94: Medical Conference

The environment of Kazimierz couldn't be said to be too good, but neither could it be said to be too bad. At least basic transportation was not a problem. Under the VIP-level summons, several helicopters and coordinating support teams could still be assembled. Medical experts from all over the world arrived at the capital hospital of Kazimierz within four days. Doctors from various trauma surgery and biology departments gathered together, beginning to exchange their respective knowledge and techniques.

Everyone was a big shot in a certain industry or subject, so there was no need for modesty or feigning ignorance. What's more, the price Kazimierz offered this time was indeed very generous; several experts who originally had some conflicts even took this opportunity to engage in sharp confrontations and mutual attacks.

Not physical attacks, just verbal ones. But even so, the conflicts between them were still enough to write several short papers.

However, the reason everyone could idly attack was entirely because everyone currently had nothing to do.

After Kazimierz gathered these scholars and doctors, they didn't show up, but instead nervously inspected themselves, then searched various electronic products several times, and even had to pass a series of checks that even military bases would find excessive, only then did they sign a confidentiality agreement. And this confidentiality agreement was officially recognized by the state power, the highest-level confidentiality agreement. Only after confirming everyone had signed this agreement did Kazimierz decide to let them meet the patient.

Silence successfully mixed into the first echelon. Similarly, there was the deputy director from Umbrella Bio's medical department. Looking at the white-haired girl beside her with a relaxed smile, Silence really wanted to slap her, but after all, this was work. She could only forcefully suppress the anger in her heart, follow behind the silent guard in front, and continuously walk underground.

"Ah, Senior Silence. Honestly, aren't you planning to come to Umbrella Bio? Our benefits here are very generous: five insurances and one fund (- standard Chinese employee benefits), two days off a week, work no more than eight hours a day, really very good, okay?"

"No, not necessary."

"Although you are from Rhine Lab, our Umbrella Bio and you share the same origin. As the saying goes, one family, connected like branches. Not just Doctor Silence, but for all seniors from Rhine Lab, I actually hold immense respect. For your scientific research ethics, we truly, truly admire them. You know, to hold back that step when you are just one step away from achieving infinitely great accomplishments, that truly requires immense willpower."

"…"

"So I've always been thinking, since that's the case, the things you don't want to do, let our Umbrella Bio do them; we'll do the things Rhine Lab cannot, and should not do, then seniors, everyone happily engages in scientific research together, isn't that a very good thing?"

"Impossible."

Silence turned her head, glared at the chattering deputy director of medicine, and scolded in a low voice:

"We are completely different from researchers as deranged as you; we have our own bottom line and honor, we will absolutely not extend our hands to places they shouldn't be extended—"

"Eh? But I found an Ifrit Project ( Flame Demon Project) in Rhine Lab's database, eh? What's this?"

"…"

Looking at the white-haired girl playing dumb, Silence took a deep breath, constantly admonishing herself, and hurriedly walked underground.

What made her very happy was that she didn't walk far before reaching a turning point. The knight leading the way bowed to a Sarkaz person in a black robe, then turned and left. And the Sarkaz person with white hair and black eyes nodded at the dozen or so doctors before her, showing no intention of wasting words.

"I am the VIP's attending physician, Shining. Some of you may know me, some may not, but that's not important. Next, I will explain the points of attention during the examination. Firstly, everyone, do not use your own Originium Arts, carefully observe the patient's condition, then listen to me describe his current state verbally. Then decide on treatment methods individually. The patient's condition no longer allows for ordinary examinations, please understand. Does anyone have any objections?"

"…"

"None? That's very good."

Shining looked at the doctors nodding, pressed a button in a corner.

A huge iron plate slowly lifted upwards, and a eerie green light emanated from the container, casting a gloomy shadow of Shining standing in the backlight.

Dozens of tubes connected to the container began to exchange fluids; a shadow that looked somewhat strange in Terra floated within the container, casting a hazy, dark green, eerie shadow behind Shining. This inexplicable atmosphere even made some doctors shiver uncomfortably.

"Please observe carefully, everyone; this is the current state of the hero who saved Kazimierz."

Taking a slight step back, Shining pointed at the shadow in the water tank and said in a low voice:

"Please, everyone, use all your strength to save him from this state."

"…"

Looking at the tattered body in the water tank, everyone subconsciously held their breath, finally understanding the meaning of the confidentiality agreement.

A humanoid figure never seen before was submerged in the container.

It looked like a young male, not very old; the remaining features on his face showed a skeletal structure that wasn't handsome but not ugly either. The reason for saying skeletal was because a considerable portion of his cheeks was torn open, exposing stark white teeth in the pool.

His limbs had varying degrees of flesh loss, and various muscles had suffered considerable damage. But compared to the abdominal cavity and chest, these losses were acceptable. The abdominal cavity and chest were like a perverted physician had completed an exquisite live dissection; those life-sustaining organs had almost no major damage, but the related processing parts each had their own defects and losses.

The strangest thing was, there were actually some signs of self-healing on those internal organs and exposed skin; those exposed parts were actually trembling and closing up.

The internal organs and flesh, beyond everyone's imagination, made all the doctors looking at the body floating in the nutrient tank involuntarily swallow their saliva.

"His body has distinct differences from Terra. Some of our conventional medical methods are not applicable."

Looking at the somewhat dazed doctors, Shining said in a low voice:

"So I request all trauma and biology doctors and scholars, please heal him. I implore you all."
