Kai and Bast stepped into their home, the door clicking softly behind them. Kai immediately wrapped his arms around Bast, resting his head against his chest.
Kai (warmly): "I'm really happy for Miles… He's finally free from the fear of Victor."
Bast gently held Kai back, brushing a hand through his hair.
Bast (calmly): "He deserves happiness. I'm glad he finally got it."
Kai pulled back slightly and looked up at him. "But… how did you get Mr. Victor to confess everything to Ethan?"
Bast gave him a quiet, sly smile as he took off his coat and walked over to the couch.
Bast: "I just asked him nicely."
Kai followed him, squinting with suspicion. That word—nicely—didn't sit right. His mind instantly flashed to what Rico might've done in a similar situation.
Kai (narrowing his eyes): "Wait… you kidnapped Victor?"
Bast chuckled softly as he began to unbutton his shirt, revealing part of his chest.
Bast: "I didn't."
Kai blinked, puzzled. "Then how?"
