Chapter 26 - C26

The world no longer ignored the Scarlet Dragon King.

From the towering spires of Olympus to the labyrinthine halls of Hell, whispers grew into roars. The unified power of Eric Aivor and his harem—a force that defied gods and devils alike—had become a threat impossible to overlook.

And threats demanded action.

Tokyo — Nightfall

Eric's crimson sanctuary shimmered like a beacon amidst the city's skyline. But beneath the glimmer, shadows moved with deadly purpose.

A figure cloaked in midnight blue slipped silently through the darkened streets. His target: Eric Aivor himself.

This was no ordinary assassin. He was a relic from a forgotten era—an agent of the Sekigami, an ancient faction of supernatural hunters, sworn to eliminate any who dared disrupt the balance.

Tonight's mission was clear: End the Scarlet Dragon King before his fire could spread further.

Inside Eric's sanctuary, the air hummed with magic. His harem gathered, senses sharp, aware of the shifting tides.

Rias's crimson eyes narrowed. "Something's coming."

Grayfia's voice was steady. "I can feel it too. A shadow in the periphery."

Eric rose, his scarlet aura flaring. "Then we prepare. Together."

Elsewhere — The Council of Shadows

In a dim chamber veiled from mortal sight, political powers convened.

High-ranking officials from human governments, representatives from demon clans, and even emissaries of celestial realms gathered around a vast obsidian table.

"The Scarlet Dragon King grows too powerful," the council's leader intoned. "His alliance of divine women threatens the order we have maintained for centuries."

A cold voice cut through the room. "Our own intelligence confirms it. Eric Aivor's power is no longer contained. We must act swiftly."

One diplomat, a sleek figure from the Vatican's secret order, leaned forward. "An assassination is the cleanest solution."

"But reckless," countered a demon lord. "He is protected by goddesses. We need more than blades."

The room fell into tense silence.

"We must combine our resources," the leader said finally. "Political pressure, misinformation, and if necessary—force."

Their plan was set.

Back in Tokyo — The Assassin Strikes

The cloaked figure reached the sanctuary's edge. Arcane wards flickered like fragile glass, but he was prepared.

With a whispered incantation, he dissolved into shadows, slipping past barriers like a ghost.

Within the grand hall, the harem's laughter and quiet moments were shattered by the sharp crack of breaking glass.

Eric's scarlet eyes snapped open.

"Everyone, positions!" he commanded.

The assassin emerged, twin daggers glowing with cursed energy.

Shiva ignited her palms in divine flame, stepping forward. "You dare threaten him?"

Death appeared silently behind the assassin, her scythe gleaming. "You won't leave alive."

But the assassin smiled coldly. "I am not here to die."

With inhuman speed, he lunged.

The Battle

Eric's aura exploded, scarlet flames swirling as he intercepted the attack.

Rias and Grayfia flanked the assassin, their combined power pressing him back.

But the assassin was no mere mortal. He wielded ancient magic—shadow binding, poison curses, and rituals lost to time.

Koneko's eyes glowed as she leapt, claws flashing. "I'll hold him!"

Akeno unleashed a storm of lightning, but the assassin vanished into darkness, reappearing behind Yasaka.

"Not so fast," Yasaka whispered, her tails shimmering as she struck with foxfire.

The fight was fierce and fluid—magic clashing, blades singing.

Yet, through it all, Eric's calm presence remained the center—a burning core of resolve and power.

Meanwhile — Political Maneuvers

The council's influence rippled across media and governments.

False rumors of Eric's tyranny spread like wildfire.

Some hailed him as a demon lord bent on conquest; others as a dangerous wild card threatening global peace.

Yet behind closed doors, factions debated alliances and betrayals.

Who would back Eric? Who would betray him? And who waited to seize power from the chaos?

The Assassin's Last Move

Back in the sanctuary, the assassin prepared a final ritual—an explosive curse meant to kill Eric and cripple his harem's power.

But just as the curse ignited, Eric's scarlet dragon form erupted.

Wings of fire spread wide, eyes blazing like twin suns.

He moved with the fury of a primordial storm.

With a roar that shook the very foundations, Eric shattered the curse.

The assassin was caught in the blast, thrown back, defeated but alive.

Aftermath

Eric lowered his wings, breath steady.

"Tell your masters," he said quietly, "we are ready."

Rias smiled, stepping close. "And they will regret the day they thought they could break us."

Grayfia's gaze was steel. "This is only the beginning."

From the shadows beyond the city, ancient eyes watched.

The first move had been made.

But the game was far from over.
