Garp's target was Boa Hancock.
Meanwhile, Gion had gone off in another direction, her eyes locked on Shirahoshi and Jinbe. But Garp didn't shift his attention for even a second.
Like thunder, he appeared in front of Hancock in the blink of an eye and, without a shred of mercy, launched a punch directly at her.
"Tch!"
Without the slightest hint of surprise, Hancock extended her long leg, intercepting the punch head-on.
'Perfume Femur'
A technique that partially petrifies the target upon impact.
But Garp's monstrous Haki completely nullified her ability. Not only did it ignore the petrification—it shredded the intent behind it like paper.
The clash between his fist and her leg triggered a wind explosion that sent Hancock's figure flying. Her body spun through the air several times before crashing harshly dozens of meters away.
She quickly straightened up with a proud gesture, but the trembling in her legs betrayed the sheer force of the blow.
Garp, for his part, didn't stop advancing for a single moment. The veins bulged on his temples, and his fighting spirit erupted, making the air feel heavy as he approached her like a mountain whose summit could not be seen.
Just his shadow alone blocked any chance of escape.
"Girl…" he growled, holding back his rage, "Don't forget who you are or where your title comes from. Hand over Tiberion Hanma right now. Before I lose all restraint and kill you myself."
"You think I care about that damn Shichibukai title?" she replied with a mocking smile. "The only thing that matters to me right now… is him."
"And besides, if you want to kill me… it won't be so easy."
Garp narrowed his eyes. "So you're choosing his side, huh…"
"Does that mean you also want to become an enemy of the World Government and the entire Navy?" he asked one last time.
But Hancock didn't even blink to answer.
"Are you hard of hearing, old man? I already told you. There's nothing more important than the man I love. Even if it means standing against the entire world."
Upon hearing her, Garp closed his eyes for a moment… only to unleash in the next instant a murderous pressure so brutal that the ground beneath his feet cracked.
And he opened his eyes with a gaze unlike any other.
"I see… Then there's nothing left to say—I'LL JUST CRUSH YOU ALL!"
His beloved village had been completely destroyed, and the fury in his heart needed a target to be released upon.
And now Hancock, still a Shichibukai, refused to obey or act with reason. She could only be struck down along with the others.
Sensing the intense bloodlust radiating from Garp and his indomitable will, Hancock couldn't stop a shiver from running down her spine. No matter how firmly she tried to stand her ground, her heart began to pound with deep fear and extreme caution.
After all, the man before her wasn't just anyone.
He was the Hero of the Navy.
The very same man who, in the past, had been able to fight on equal footing with the Pirate King himself.
His legendary fists had crushed an entire era. Generations of pirates abandoned their dreams upon hearing his name.
Fully aware of the overwhelming danger before him, he unleashed his entire will.
In a single instant, he activated all three types of Haki simultaneously.
Boom
The roar of his Conqueror's Haki shook Foosha Village like an invisible storm, unleashing an inhuman pressure. The shockwave was so intense that dozens of marines around him lost consciousness instantly, collapsing like soulless puppets.
His Observation Haki sharpened his senses, and his Armament Haki coated his legs and arms, causing his figure to glow with a black aura.
But Garp didn't stop. In fact, he was already there.
He appeared in front of her again, his fist wrapped in Haki, and launched a direct punch.
And Hancock didn't hesitate. Still holding Tiberion in her arms, she jumped. Her body spun, and from above, she unleashed a flurry of twin kicks with both feet.
'Perfume Femur Magna'
Both colossal forces collided. The waves of Haki surged through the village like lightning, destroying everything in their path.
But that clash lasted only a few seconds.
Amid the thunderous impact, Garp's fist prevailed with firm resolve. Hancock was launched into the air as if her body weighed nothing, sent flying hundreds of meters, her body spinning out of control as she still clung tightly to Tiberion.
And she didn't get a single breath.
Garp reached her in mid-air before she could regain control, reappearing above her and launching another punch aimed at her chest, this time with the clear intent not just to injure her—but to break her completely.
Hancock felt the greatest danger of her life in that strike.
There was nothing to support her. She was mid-air, off-balance, carrying Tiberion's inert body. Her mobility was limited, her vision shaking, and the punch was coming straight at her... it was inevitable.
There was no way to dodge it.
And right at that critical moment—Tiberion opened his eyes!
There was no humanity left in his gaze. His pupils, now completely black and deep as an abyss, glowed with a hypnotic gleam, as if dragging darkness itself with them.
A dense energy, dyed in crimson red, began to emanate from his body, warping the air around him.
His face was a nightmare. Over eighty percent of his skin had vanished, exposing the bones of his jaw. The bare muscles twitched uncontrollably, trembling as if they were fighting to rebuild themselves, regenerating in painful spasms.
It was a truly terrifying sight.
And suddenly, he slowly opened his mouth.
From within, a tongue emerged—covered in deep red blood—moving with unnatural, twisted motions, while strands of flesh dangled from the roof of his mouth.
And suddenly, without warning, his entire body convulsed.
An explosion of overwhelming force propelled him out of Hancock's arms, and she didn't even have time to react.
A direct kick to the abdomen struck her violently. The impact bent her body in the air, forcing out a strangled cry that was choked off by a burst of blood.
Her body, now completely out of control, was sent flying through the sky, disappearing among the distant rubble, as her breathing slowly faded away.
Garp, who had just been preparing to strike, felt a wild shiver run through him, and his instincts screamed at him to fall back.
He jumped back immediately, his body moving with explosive speed.
What he was sensing wasn't normal. That presence… that energy… it was like standing before a demon. Even his scalp tingled with dread.
Tiberion no longer looked human. There was something in him… something that devoured reason itself. He seemed possessed, radiating such a savage thirst for violence that everything around him grew darker.
He was hungry.
And his gaze—or what was left of it—swept across everything in his field of vision with insatiable hunger.
Even though Garp had retreated quickly, it wasn't enough.
A red blur shot past Garp at the speed of light.
In that instant, his pupils suddenly dilated.
Something was wrong… a strange sensation of sudden emptiness...
!
And then he realized.
His left arm was gone.
Blood burst forth instantly like a waterfall, soaking the ground as shock spread across his face.
With his right hand, he gripped his mutilated shoulder tightly, doing everything he could to stop the bleeding through sheer force.
His forehead and back were drenched in sweat...
And that scene left the entire battlefield in silence.
The marines were frozen in place.
No one could believe what had just happened.
In the blink of an eye… Vice Admiral Garp had lost an arm.
The HERO of the NAVY!
From afar, Gion's eyes widened, unable to speak. Jinbe stood frozen, jaw clenched. Even Doflamingo was struck silent, while Hancock—still suspended in the air—instinctively brought a hand to her lips, completely paralyzed by horror.
But that wasn't the worst part.
In the very next instant, all eyes turned toward him.
Tiberion.
That being wrapped in dark energy, with half of his body still reduced to bone…
And they saw him.
They saw him chewing with hunger.
He was devouring Garp's arm as if it were the finest meat in the world, tearing into it with his teeth, crunching the bones of that arm with a brutal sound that echoed deep in everyone's chest.
Half of it was already gone—he had swallowed it.
And as if he could feel everyone's gaze, he lifted his head and smiled at them.
A macabre smile, with bloodstained lips and crimson teeth.
His eyes were completely black—lifeless.
And his tongue slid out of his mouth, moving in a strange, eerie way, as if he were savoring not just the flesh—but also the fear.
Everyone felt it.
True fear.
In that precise moment, dozens of marines began backing away without even realizing it, stumbling over each other, gasping, their eyes wide with panic.
Some dropped their weapons; others didn't even bother to pick them up. Their bodies were acting purely on instinct: SURVIVE.
"AHHHHH!!! MOTHER OF GOD!! HE'S A DEMON!! A DAMN REAL DEMON!!"
"H-HE'S GOING TO EAT US! I SAW IT, I SAW HIM CHEWING THAT ARM!! LET'S GO, NOW!!"
"He's not human… that's not a man! HE'S A DAMN MONSTER!!"
Even Shirahoshi… couldn't help but tremble.
Her blue eyes widened as she looked at Tiberion—at her husband—shrouded in that darkness… so strange, so terrifying… so different from the man she loved.
"H-Husband…"
Her whisper broke, but not from lack of breath. It was fear—sharp and crushing—squeezing her chest like an invisible chain.
The man she had followed with so much love, the one she longed to care for with all her soul, was chewing… a human arm.
"H-He's… he's eating it! He's chewing the arm, Jinbe-sama…!"
She brought both hands to her mouth, stifling a scream as sobs burst uncontrollably. Her tears streamed down her round cheeks in desperation, soaking her fingers as her shoulders shook.
"W-What's happening to him? Why is he doing that…? He would never… never do something like this…!"
For the first time, she felt something she had never imagined before:
A threat.
A dark, painful aura… one that brushed against her too.
And that hurt more than anything else.
"D-Does he not love me anymore…?" she whispered with a knot in her throat, watching as Tiberion raised his head and revealed a blood-soaked smile, his eyes empty. "Am I no longer important to him…? D-Did I lose him…?"
Her heart clenched so tightly it hurt to breathe.
And then, as if the world collapsed inside her chest, she broke down in uncontrollable sobs.
It wasn't just fear.
It was sadness.
It was helplessness…
Jinbe, who had stopped fighting Gion, looked at her with a broken soul, feeling the weight of that deep sobbing only someone truly pure could release.
"Princess! You must come with me! Tiberion Hanma is no longer in his right mind!"
"N-NO, I DON'T WANT TO! I don't want to leave him, Jinbe-sama!" she cried through her sobs, clenching her fists. "If I leave now… if I go, he'll think I don't love him anymore…!"
"This is only… a temporary retreat," Jinbe said in a deep voice, though even he wasn't sure of what he was saying. "This isn't running away… it's giving him time to come back to himself."
But Shirahoshi couldn't stop crying.
Because deep in her heart, what she feared the most…
Was that he wouldn't come back at all.
Gion froze in place, her eyes fixed on that twisted figure. The fight with Jinbe no longer mattered. Nor could she concern herself with Shirahoshi.
Everything had changed.
What was happening with Tiberion… was beyond any protocol, any plan, any imaginable containment strategy. He was no longer a threat—he was a catastrophe.
And Garp…
He was burning.
A heavy silence surrounded him. The blood that had been pouring from his shoulder stopped all at once. The still-open wound began to darken, rapidly covered by Armament Haki spreading like roots of fury across his skin.
His muscles contracted, and he roared:
"TIBERION HANMA, YOU DAMN BASTARD!!"
The ground beneath his feet cracked like glass, and in the blink of an eye, his figure vanished.
Soru, taken to the extreme—faster, fiercer than ever before.
And in the span of a heartbeat, he appeared right in front of Tiberion.
Boom
Without giving him the slightest chance to breathe, he delivered a punch straight to Tiberion's chest, so fast that not even Tiberion's monstrous body had time to react.
The impact sent him flying at an absurd speed.
His body shot in a straight line like a cannonball—shattering walls, smashing through pillars, demolishing entire houses—until finally, he was hurled into a distant hill, splitting it in two on impact.
But Garp didn't stop.
The instant Tiberion struck the hill, he was already there, appearing above him like his shadow, and his fist came crashing down directly onto his head.
Boom
Tiberion's body was crushed, and the earth split open as if a meteor had fallen from the sky. The crater left behind was a deep wound in the ground, more than ten meters wide.
Dust, rocks—everything flew into the air as silence took hold of the battlefield.
But then…
A smile.
From the depths of the crater, among the shadows and rubble, a completely demonic smile began to form on Tiberion's twisted face.
His bloodstained teeth, cracked lips, and that inhuman expression…
It was as if pain didn't exist.
As if all of it only excited him even more.
And as he slowly raised his head, eyes completely black and void of humanity, a voice echoed only in his mind:
