On the seventh day, Gilbert was reviewing documents in the CEO's office when a head suddenly poked through the door.
He lifted his gaze slightly, it was the new secretary from Zanna Perfume Shop. He was about to speak when she quickly pulled her head back and slipped mysteriously toward the reception desk.
He paused, then rose to his feet.
"What were you saying? Who were you talking to?"
When he stepped out, he saw the secretary whispering into the phone. The moment she noticed him, she ended the call with a quick word. Gilbert narrowed his eyes sharply.
"Mr.Watson, it was a customer, placing a perfume order," she replied with a strained smile.
Gilbert let out a cold snort. She was obviously lying, and he didn't believe a word. He narrowed his eyes and walked a slow circle around the hallway before returning to the office.
After hanging up the call, Claire was furious.
That damned Gilbert, how dare he occupy her office?
