"Gilbert, if you keep spoiling Linda like this, you're not doing her any favors," Amanda said, shaking her head with disapproval. "Just look at Adam and Hilary. They eat their meals without wasting a single bite, no fuss, no complaints. That's how well-behaved children should be."
Thanks to Claire's patient guidance, Adam and Hilary had developed excellent table manners. They never whined about food and ate whatever was served. But Dean and Linda were a different story.
"Mom, Linda's only five. She's still a child," Gilbert said, brushing off her concern with a careless smile. "Don't worry, I know what I'm doing."
Amanda sighed, feeling helpless. Linda had many bad habits. If they weren't corrected now, they'd be even harder to change later. But her son always indulged her, and with that kind of blind affection, there was little Amanda could do.
