At Castle Aaron the next day, due to there's no Queen Azelia in sight, First General Hemlocke became the person in charge, with him discussing the plan to retake Fort Tarahud with some of lower ranking commanders.
Inside the throne room, a big long table was set up and used as the battle plan map. The map showcases the significant push of the 255th Tarazmy deeper into their territory. Their casualties keep going up.
And the worst part? Nearly all of them, commanders and soldiers alike have never saw action. Yeah for sure, there's a first time for everything.
"I will need more and more of our soldiers to prepare on the end of L'ayre River. They will be the back up soldiers if our enemies somehow penetrate the very Port Tarahud", Hemlocke advised the plan to other commanders. The way he stare was very serious, unlike the other seriousness he had showed before the war happened.
Suddenly, the door swinged open, revealing a fine looking man, with grey wings beside him. His armour was also fine looking, like a high quality armour like the Elite Warriors's armours. It all looked shiny, but not too shiny. His hair was grey and not too long.
The commanders were stunned looking at him. Some of women commanders blushed seeing his fine face, including Emriz, the Orc Queen. Kazeru was also there and smirked seeing the great entrance by the man.
Hemlocke smiled upon seeing the winged man before started talking.
"Gjebgy. You are finally here... Sky people have decided to join the war?"
"Yes, sir. The whole sky people need to join the war as a sign to show gratitude to the royalty.", Gjebgy answered. He stood firm but his face was casual.
"Hahah, that's a good one... Are you one of King Azherm children too?", Hemlocke asked him.
"No. He's not one of us", Emriz answered. She answered for Gjebgy, to which it surprised him but he thanked her for doing that.
King Azherm had kinda lot of children, but his only biological child is Queen Azelia only, the youngest among the siblings. The siblings in order are Ryzoth, Kazeru, Emriz, Edward Hrey and Azelia. It was supposed to be Ryzoth to be the king according to age, but Azelia was chosen due to the lineage.
The reason why Emriz was here is because of Azelia has given her a letter about the war going out few days ago. As a good step sister, she came after discussing with the Orc's district to join the war. The orcs all agreed thanks to their loyalty to Queen Azelia.
Soon when the meeting ended, Emriz approached Kazeru. It's been like years since they last met, but still, their cars for each other is still there.
"Brother... It's been..... A while... How are things for you now?.. Great?", Emriz asked Kazeru directly. Even though her height is more than his, towering her easily, but she's still felt awkward and weak to her older siblings.
Kazeru only smirked to her.
" Do not worry for me, Emriz... Everything is just fine on the Elf District.. How is the Orc District doing?. I hope everything if just fine there", he answered.
Due to his casual tone, Emriz finally felt good back. She's been holding the awkwardness since the beginning of the meeting.
"Oh! Everything is just fine here!.. It's good to hear about that... Did Azelia called you here? Because for me, she sent me a letter and I immediately agreed to protect our homeland. All orcs did"
"Heheh.. You could say the same is for me too. She went to meet with Adrog. You remembered Adrog?.. The one who helped us since when we were so young?.. She asked for my help, and of course, I can't turn down my little sister plea for help", Kazeru replied.
Emriz's eyes went wide open upon hearing the name 'Adrog'.
"Uncle Adrog?! You meet him?! Why don't you tell meeee!", she said childishly.
"Heh, calm down.. Though only for a brief moment, it's still a memory I would cherish", he laughed softly.
While they both were talking and chatting, it seemed their bonds were strengthening again.. Gjebgy watched from afar and just eyed them both. He didn't mind much but he just looked at them, trying to understand their relations.
Meanwhile at Port Tarahud, Alwien was standing on top of a watchtower, watching the night sky and the stars as they blinked to him. It's obvious his face read as he's full of longing, missing someone.
And he missed his girlfriend. It's been like 3 weeks since they last met, and he didn't even get a single letter from her. But he didn't mind. He just thought positively, maybe she's busy with her job, maybe the letters didn't arrived to him. Nevertheless, he still felt longing.
But his girlfriend wasn't like that. Due to not meeting for such a long time, from her perspective, she decided to just walked around on some bar and taverns, trying to get attention.
Her catgirl physique was really unique and to add on, with her long blonde hair. But why the heck did she went to places like there? Easy. She got manipulated by her friend. The friend who's jealous of her relationship with Alwien decided to bring her to places like that, so she would cheat on him.
"Oh cmon, Nily. It's not always to go to bars. Besides, it's girls night out, right?", her friend said.
"Erhmm... I don't know... Alwien and I had a good relationship built with trust.. I don't know if this is a good idea, Ywen", she said to her orange haired human friend.
"Oh cmon, girl! Didn't you miss him so much?"
"... Yes.. I d-"
"Great! But you can't meet him right?"
"... That's true"
"So why not meet with other guys while you're waiting for him to return? It's not wrong, obviously! You can just say the men are your friends! He won't get mad.. He's not the type to get mad or jealous easily right?".
Nily went silent for a moment. From her opinion, Ywen is right. It's Alwien's choice to went to be a soldier. So it's his fault to leave her like this. If he got mad, she can just say he didn't love her hard enough.
"You're right... It's not my fault that he went to frontline. After all.. I'm not cheating.. I'm just.. Hanging out with other men."
"That's the spirit, Nily! Now go, girl!", Ywen said before pushing Nily by her ass so she can accidentally bumped with a green orc.
Once they bumped each other, the orc apologised before realising how beautiful Nily was. He tried flirting to her, she felt a bit guilty, but remembering Ywen's words, she forgot Alwien for a moment.
Back to Port Tarahud, Alwien was sitting while getting hit by the calm and comforting breeze. He closed his eyes, remembering his promise to propose to Nily once he ended his duty. He didn't expect he would be sent to a war when he promised, but he just hoped she would understand.
Hais and Syansh were secretly sneaking in him, admiring his calm demeanor. Though it's usual to see his calmness, this time, it's different. To add on, hks gave seemed happy, maybe he's remembering good old memories. Both the girl tried to not care much, but they can't stop looking at him.
Alwien suddenly stopped his thinking, and immediately turned around, to check if anyone is sneaking on her. Knowing both of them got caught, they both lied straight to his face.
"Oh, Alwien! We're just... Walking around! Didn't expect to meet you here", Syansh answered.
"Uh Yeah! It's not everyday to see our leader group to have a peace time. Dot worry about us, just.. Have your time.",Hais answered.
Alwien eyed them for a while went back to his previous activity.
"I just hoped you guys won't disturb me here".
" Yes, boss. We won't!", both the girls answered at the same time.
