Chapter 59 - Chapter 59: The Wonderful Era

The next morning, influenced by her biological clock, Mu Qingyun opened her eyes promptly at 6:30.

As she moved her body, she was surprised to find that the exhaustion she had felt over the past few days had inexplicably disappeared. In its place was a refreshing sense of well-being.

Could it be that she slept well last night?

But that didn't make sense—she had slept outside, hadn't she?

"Awake?"

Suddenly, a soft voice startled Mu Qingyun out of her thoughts.

She turned to see it was Fan Xuanye.

His eyes were shadowed with dark circles, his face full of fatigue—he looked like he hadn't slept well either.

"You don't look well," she said softly, lowering her voice to avoid disturbing the others still sleeping in the cave.

"Mm, I had insomnia last night," Fan Xuanye replied drowsily, staring blankly ahead.

He had been away from home for some time now, and hadn't suffered insomnia for a long while. But after meeting Fan Yunche yesterday, those unpleasant memories flooded uncontrollably into his mind.

Last night, the moment he closed his eyes, the happy times with his parents would appear before him.

But soon after, the scene shifted to his mother leaving, to pain, crying, and darkness engulfing him. It tortured him, making sleep impossible.

"Can you manage it yourself?" Mu Qingyun asked quietly.

"Yes," Fan Xuanye answered, then shifted the topic back to her. "Why are you up so early?"

"To exercise, then build the house."

"Call me when you're building; I'll help."

She nodded. "Alright."

[Morning, everyone! The first thing I do is tune into Mu's livestream to watch the house being built.]

[Haha, I'm at work right now, watching from my office computer. Work's boring—this is more fun.]

[Be careful! If your boss catches you, your paycheck's toast this month.]

[No worries, my boss likes Mu too. Last time he caught me watching, he even joined the chat to discuss Mu with me, haha.]

[Lucky! My boss is different—he likes Princess, not Mu. Once he complained about Mu in the company chat. If it weren't for my paycheck, I'd have argued with him!]

After morning training, Mu Qingyun went to the river for a quick wash, then returned to the cave to call Fan Xuanye. Together, they headed toward the house, which was about four-fifths complete.

"At this pace, we should be able to move in the day after tomorrow," Mu Qingyun said with satisfaction, looking at the nearly finished structure.

In her previous life, she had been forced to learn many things, but building a house was new.

The sense of accomplishment from completing a house was far more satisfying than killing ten virtual creatures.

"Mm." Fan Xuanye blinked, suddenly overwhelmed by fatigue.

He hadn't slept well last night, and after the intense work building the house early this morning, the drowsiness hit him all at once.

"Mu, I'm going back to sleep a bit."

Before she could respond, Fan Xuanye collapsed to the ground.

"Fan Xuanye?"

Alarmed, Mu Qingyun hurried over and caught him.

"What's wrong with him?" Just then, Ka Zeer arrived at the construction site as usual and saw Fan Xuanye fall.

"I don't know. You're good with medicine, right? Help!" Mu Qingyun was puzzled—she didn't think a tall muscular guy over 1.9 meters would collapse just from one night's insomnia.

"I'll take a look." Without hesitation, Ka Zeer stepped forward. He checked Fan Xuanye's eyelids and felt his pulse on both wrists.

Mu Qingyun watched anxiously. Although she knew doctors shouldn't talk much during diagnosis, Ka Zeer's deepening frown made her ask, "What's wrong with him?"

"Probably just overworked," Ka Zeer said, withdrawing his hands as his expression relaxed. "He's hiding something heavy on his mind. The mental stress is too much. Don't worry."

[Phew, glad it's nothing serious. Poor Xuanye.]

[Yeah, classic tragic hero. So easy to feel for him.]

[Hope Xuanye recovers soon. Mom wants to see you as you were when you first came.]

[Please don't call yourself mom here. You know what mom means to him—joking about that isn't right.]

[Exactly, better not say such things.]

[Sorry, my bad. Deleted my comment.]

"Let's just put him here to rest for now." Ka Zeer stood up, carried Fan Xuanye aside, and settled him down. Then he reached out and checked Mu Qingyun's pulse.

"What are you doing?" Mu Qingyun asked, puzzled as she saw his hand on her wrist. She wasn't sick—why was he feeling her pulse?

"I'm just bored. Thought I'd check yours too," Ka Zeer said casually, but his hands moved carefully.

Her complexion didn't look great to him. He wanted to see if he could help with some herbal medicine and maybe get closer to her—it would make things easier later.

But as soon as he checked her pulse, he felt something odd.

"Do you have a light-energy user around you?" he asked with a frown.

"No," Mu Qingyun shook her head honestly. "You've met all the people around me. You've seen their abilities too."

"Then that's strange." Ka Zeer raised his eyebrows in interest, his mind racing as he speculated about this mysterious light-energy.

"What's strange?" Mu Qingyun asked, confused by his cryptic words, but Ka Zeer just shook his head mysteriously without explaining.

"Forget it," seeing that he wouldn't say more, she changed the subject. "You know Chinese medicine, but this planet is barren. Where do you get your herbs to treat people?"

"Don't you know?" Ka Zeer was surprised she didn't know this. "Although there are no herbs, the seed bank has cultivated medicinal plants."

"High technology can produce herbal medicine liquid that works just like real herbs—no need for actual plants."

Produced artificially?

Mu Qingyun's eyes widened in amazement. This world was truly incredible—medicinal herbs could be synthesized. It was practically miraculous.

[Wait, Mu didn't know that?]

[I'm shocked too. Mu's knowledge is seriously lacking.]
