Three Mysterious Prisoners [Part-2]
A boot grinds on stone - the man at his side moves. Sweat traces a line down one hot temple. Hesitation, then: Father…?
Leon didn't look away. "Why are those three prisoners here?"
A cold stillness followed the words. Blinking hard, the guard looked at Leon, then the cell, then back - searching the stone for something that wasn't there. His mouth opened slightly, empty of reply, as if expecting the bricks to speak first.
"These three…?" he repeated, pushing out a short laugh that felt wrong. Dangerous captives, they are - uh - Your Majesty
Still watching, Leon held on the shapes. Their quiet stayed sharp under his stare. Even breathless, they felt watchful.
Again, he wondered aloud about their reason for being there, tone steady yet carrying a sharper note beneath - just enough weight in it to stiffen the guard's back without warning.
