The words really cut through the room. It was like even the torches were afraid of the words. They just seemed to get a little smaller when the words were spoken. The words had an effect on everything, in the room.
Halren bowed again the movement was not very deep. It looked like it hurt him sweat was forming on his forehead. He did not dare look up at the lord for a time. "Then you must also know, my lord, that Halren thinks you cannot be in every place, at the time."
Edrics brow furrowed. The truth of that statement hurt him more than anything. He moved a little his armor making a noise but Gary did not say a word. Garys silence was really loud his fingers tight, around the hilt of his sword like it was the thing that was keeping him from doing something. Edric looked at Gary and Garys silence was heavier than if he had yelled at Edric. Garys fingers were locked around the hilt of his sword.
