No Oaths, Only Truth
Leon took a breath in. The air burned his lungs a little it tasted like ash and metal that had been sitting outside in the cold.
He told them "I know you have every reason to doubt me." He spoke in an steady voice so every single person in front of him could hear him. There was no anger in his voice no pride just a tired and honest feeling. "But the truth is," he said, "so do I doubt myself that is the truth is I have doubts, about myself too just like you do about me."
